Simply Red

Simply Red are an English pop band, formed in the mid 1980s. Simply Red's roots originate from the notorious 1976 Sex Pistols gig at the Lesser Free Trade Hall in Manchester. Manchester art student Mick Hucknall was one of the many young music fans present (along with original members of The Fall, Joy Division, The Smiths and Buzzcocks) who was inspired to form a band after witnessing that gig. The first incarnation of the band was a punk group called The Frantic Elevators.

Patrice Wilson

Patrice Wilson is a Nigerian singer and songwriter and co-founder of ARK Music Factory in partnership with Clarence Jey. He also adopted the name Pato as a stage name for his various performances. Patrice Wilson's father was a chemical engineer and his mother a church minister. He studied at Zamani College, Wilson Prep. School, and Essence International School in Nigeria. Wilson's musical beginnings were when he sang in his mother's church and helped out with youth programs at the local Christian school.

Taio Cruz (pronounced Tie-oh Cruise) (born 23 April 1983) is a Brit Award winning and MOBO-nominated English singer-songwriter, occasional rapper, and music producer. In 2008 he released his debut album Departure which he arranged and produced himself. In October 2009, he released his follow up album Rokstarr which includes his number one single "Break Your Heart". In between the two albums and at present, Cruz has been working on productions and writing songs for Cheryl Cole, Brandy and the Sugababes.

Parliament

Parliament was originally The Parliaments, a doo-wop group based out of George Clinton's Plainfield, New Jersey barber shop. The name was soon abandoned due to legal issues with Revilot and Atlantic Records, and most of the same people recorded under the name Funkadelic, which consisted of The Parliaments' backing musicians. Billy "Bass" Nelson is credited with creating the name Funkadelic. He also switched from 6-string guitar to bass, creating room for his childhood friend Eddie Hazel to join the group.

Hard hitting rhythm and blues nine-piece, Clairy Browne & the Bangin' Rackettes, released their debut album in November, 2011. With launch parties announced in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, CB/BR are never ones to shy away from a full-blown production. These very special evenings will be reminiscent of the old school dancehall party days, where the hair is high and the music is sleazy. James Blake

James Blake is an electronic musician from London, England. James began his final year at Goldsmiths in September 2009 studying popular music while recording songs in his bedroom. Blake attended The Latymer School and released his debut 12" "Air and Lack Thereof" on Hemlock Audio in July 2009. It was a firm favourite with Gilles Peterson from BBC Radio 1. Allen Toussaint

Allen Toussaint (born January 14, 1938) is an American musician, songwriter and record producer and one of the most influential figures in New Orleans R&B who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
