Sonic Animation were an Australian band that made electronic music from many genres. Rupert Keiller and Adrian Cartwright were with the group through the entirety of its existence, but they also performed with others including Steve Berschtick, who was with the group when it formed, and Erica Mclean who sung the female vocals on the new tracks on their greatest hits album Eleven. The group split up in 2006.

Cut Copy is a synthpop band formed in 2001 at Melbourne, Australia, and made up of Dan Whitford (lead vocals/keys/guitar), Tim Hoey (bass/guitar) and Mitchell Scott (drums), Bennett Foddy being a former member. Their sound is much in the vein of contemporaries such as Daft Punk, drawing considerable influence from older bands such as New Order, Electric Light Orchestra and Kraftwerk. It began in 2001 as the project for Dan Whitford, however in 2003 Whitford recruited a band, and in 2005 toured internationally for the first time, visiting London, New York and Los Angeles.

By age 18, she was studying Musicology at the University in Montpellier, France, and then obtained her Master in Musicology at the Sorbonne in Paris. Brian Transeau (born Brian Wayne Transeau on October 4, 1971, in Rockville, Maryland) is an American musician who records under the stage name BT. Classically trained from the age of 13, he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston for one year before dropping out and moving to Los Angeles, California, and then back to Washington, D.C.. From an early age, BT, demonstrated a remarkable aptitude for playing and understanding classical music. He was heavily influenced by avant-garde and romantic composers such as Stravinsky, Bartok, Debussy and Rachmaninov.
