Critics are a four-piece pop-punk band based in Kiama, New South Wales, Australia. Originally known as The Polaroid People, the band changed their name in 2011 in order to distance themselves for their previous, much poppier sound. Now taking inspiration from some heavier influences, the band are set to release their debut EP within the year.
There have been at least two bands with the name 'Stories' (as opposed to 'The Stories'). 1) Stories was a short-lived art rock band based out of New York City in the early 1970s. The band consisted of keyboardist Michael Brown (ex-The Left Banke), bassist/vocalist Ian Lloyd, guitarist Steve Love, and drummer Bryan Madey, and had a fluke hit with a cover of Hot Chocolate's "Brother Louie" on their second album ABOUT US. Paul Collins was a founding member of The Nerves, a legendary underground rock group from 1974-77. (Other legendary rock groups formed in 1974, including Blondie, The Ramones, Radio Birdman and The Dictators). The Nerves were a 3-piece band featuring the talents of Jack Lee, Peter Case (The Plimsouls) and Paul Collins (The Beat). Aside from touring with The Ramones, The Nerves funded their own recordings without a record deal. The Nerves originally recorded the song Hanging On The Telephone, which was leter covered by Deborah Harry and Blondie on the chart topping "Parallel Lines" album.
A Rocket to the Moon is an american pop/alternative rock band. A Rocket to the Moon has released two EPs and a full length. Their first studio full length was released in October 2009. Nick Santino began the band in the summer of 2006 as an experiment, and decided to continue due to positive feedback. A Rocket to the Moon started its first official tour in 2008 with The Cab, Hey Monday, and This Providence. A Rocket to the Moon has also played in such events as Bamboozle.
Sydney band Sunnyboys remain one of the most highly regarded and best-loved bands of the Australian post-punk era. Fronted by the enigmatic and youthful singer/songwriter and guitarist Jeremy Oxley, the band breathed some freshness and vitality into the Sydney music scene in the early 80s.
Essentially Sunnyboys wore their influences on their sleeve - The Remains, The Flamin' Groovies, The Kinks and The Beatles with a dash of Detroit muscle thrown in for good measure. They produced melodic power pop classics and were rewarded with an immediate positive response.
Between 1980 and 1984 they released their self-titled EP (1980) and 3 albums: "Sunnyboys" (1981), "Individuals" (1982) and "Get Some Fun" (1984).
However, Jeremy Oxley's battle with schizophrenia plagued the band and Sunnyboys announced their break-up in June 1984. Their farewell tour produced the album "Real Live" which was recorded over two nights in Sydney (29th and 30th June).
In 1985, the French label Closer combined The Sunnyboys' first two albums as a double set entitled "Days Are Gone" for the European market.
In late 1987, Jeremy Oxley attempted to revive Sunnyboys with a new line-up. The new band signed a deal with RCA and released an album entitled "Wildcat" (produced by ex-Sherbet keyboard player, Garth Porter). The album failed to convince old Sunnyboys fans and the band broke up again in 1990.
In July 1991, Mushroom released the compilation album "Plays The Best" and the original line-up reunited for a national tour.
Also "Shakin' - Live 1991" (1993, live cd + "Sunnyboys" EP) has been released by Phantom and "This Is Real" (2004, double-CD, Singles/Live/Rare) by Feel Presents.

Forever the Sickest Kids is an American rock band from Dallas, Texas, who are currently signed to Universal Motown Records Group. In issue 228 of Alternative Press, the group was named the number one underground band in the "22 Best Underground Bands (That Likely Won't Stay Underground for Long)". Their first EP, Television Off, Party On, was released on July 3, 2007 Their second EP, a split release with critically acclaimed pop punk band The Tattle-Tales, was released on February 14, 2008. Their debut album, Underdog Alma Mater, was later released on April 29, 2008.

Nick Lowe (born Nicholas Drain Lowe, 24th March 1949, Walton-on-Thames, England) is a singer-songwriter, musician and producer. A pivotal figure in U.K. pub rock, punk rock, and new wave, Lowe has recorded a string of well-reviewed solo albums. Along with vocals, Lowe plays guitar, bass guitar, piano, and harmonica. He is perhaps best known for his songs "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, And Understanding" and "Cruel to Be Kind", as well as his production work with Elvis Costello.
