Neon Trees is an alternative rock band which formed in Provo, Utah in 2005, with origins in Southern California. Formed initially by neighbors Tyler Glenn (lead vocals/keyboards) and Chris Allen (guitars), the band made its first home in Provo, eventually adding Branden Campbell (bass) and Elaine Bradley (drums/vocals) to the lineup. In 2010, the band's single "Animal" peaked at #1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.

Finabah has come a long way since their humble beginnings in 2002. The idea of forming this awesome foursome started with two mates with too much beer, a guitar and a voice (always a deadly combo!). These two talented munchkins surprisingly remembered there pact to form a band the following morning so they picked up their guitar and vocal chords scattered on the floor and went to get a maxi burger with egg!!! The Vines are an Australian alternative rock band noted for producing a musical hybrid of '60s rock and '90s alternative music. Since 2006 their line-up has consisted of vocalist and lead guitarist Craig Nicholls, rhythm guitarist Ryan Griffiths, bassist Brad Heald and drummer Hamish Rosser. They appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in October 2002 (the first Australian band to do so since Men at Work in 1983) with the words "Rock is Back: meet the Vines" boldly emblazoned underneath.
Fading Hour is emerging as one of the most promising young bands to hit the Australian music scene. Their sound is dynamic, distinct and lucid, showing influences by everyone from Incubus, Tool, Dredg and Porcupine Tree to likes of Chevelle, Disturbed and The Deftones. Their music is an amalgamation of genres which can best be described as progressive melodic and heavy rock. The Melbourne four piece originally formed back in 2005, when guitarist Peter and drummer Shannon teamed up with Michael on vocals and Jono on bass.

Karnivool is a five-piece progressive rock group based in Perth, Australia that was formed by Ian Kenny in 1996, who at the time filled the roles of both guitarist and vocalist for the band while they played Carcass and Nirvana covers. Their name stems from the band being initially described by local fans as "a bunch of clowns". Their style of music can be classified as both progressive rock and alternative rock, with alternative metal undertones. Major influences of the band are Nirvana, Radiohead, Meshuggah, Pink Floyd, Tool, Soundgarden and Carcass.
1.) Closure was an emo band from Oceanside, New York, who was around in the 90’s. They played a style of frantic emo with driving guitars and somewhat high-speed drumwork, topped off with desperate screamed vocals.
They released a split 7” with Breakwater, a full length LP and contributed a track to the compilation “I Can’t Live Without It.” All of their releases were on Mountain Records, out of Huntington, New York.

Primus is a rock band formed in California in the mid-1980s by two ex-members of thrash metal band Blind Illusion, Les Claypool and Larry Lalonde. Les (vocals and bass guitar) has been the only constant member. They have had two guitar players (although Larry has held onto the role for the past 20 years) and many different drummers (although Tim Alexander and Bryan Mantia were the only ones who recorded with the band, and Jay Lane was the only other one who had creative impact) in the past.
An American rock band formed in 2008 by Ben Harper. The current lineup consists of Ben Harper (vocals, guitar/slide guitar), Jason Mozersky (lead guitar), Jesse Ingalls (bass and keyboards), and Jordan Richardson (drums). Harper met Jason Mozersky in the late nineties when Mozersky was working for an Austin, Texas music promoter. Mozersky was chauffering Harper to a gig, and asked if he could play a demo for his band, Wan Santo Condo. Harper resisted initially, fearing the music would interfere with his mental preparation for the show, but then felt remorseful and agreed to hear the demo.
