DevilDriver

DevilDriver is a metal band from California, United States that formed in 2002. The group was started by Dez Fafara, formerly of the band Coal Chamber, as a result of frustrations stemming from the more mainstream direction his former band mates were attempting to take their music. After the demise of Coal Chamber, DevilDriver became his main focus. Their debut album, the self-titled "DevilDriver", was released on October 23, 2003 under Roadrunner Records.

The band was formed by Jon Schaffer, the lead songwriter and rhythm guitarist, in Tampa, Florida in 1984. The original name of the band was Purgatory but was then changed to Iced Earth. Abysm

Abysm was a Death/Thrash Metal band from Ottawa, Canada. Formed in 2007, they had a very brief lifespan, but managed to release one official recording, simply entitled "Demo 2007" and a rehearsal. Only ten copies were initially pressed, hand-numbered 1-10, but more were pressed later. It started in the summer of 1999 when Roberth, Janne, Mikael and Jonas began to talk about forming a new band. They wanted to build a brutal and straight-forward metal act. And in autumn that same year they started to rehearse. One day their friend Janos stopped by during a rehearsal-session. He asked if he could join and soon he was a permanent member of the band.
