A heavy band that hails from Orland, California. Orland has a few traveler services on I-5 at Highway 32, but not as many as Willows, Williams, or Corning. Nothing People have three records out and few 7 inch singles. But not as many records or singles as Hawkwind, The Buzzcocks or The Scientists.
For mercurial Los Angeles music-maker Will Wiesenfeld, Baths has been a long time coming. The 21-year-old has spent the better part of his days living amidst “pleasant” and “unremarkable” in the suburbs of the San Fernando Valley, so perhaps it’s due to a general lack of local inspiration that Wiesenfeld’s own work has never fit into a prefab box of its own. Over the last six years, under the handle of [Post-Foetus], Wiesenfeld has gainfully explored the intersections and outer reaches of both electronic and acoustic music.
The Axemen is a New Zealand band formed around 1981 in protest against the South African Springbok rugby team tour of New Zealand, a tour which created great controversy, especially as was in contradiction to New Zealand’s obligations under the Gleneagles Agreement. The Axemen played in Chch Cathedral 1981 in response to the Springbok tour. They also played at the protests for homosexual law reform in 1983, with member Little Stevie McCabe being severely beaten up in the Cathedral Square, Christchurch, toilets.
WU LYF (pronounced "Woo Life", stands for "World Unite Lucifer Youth Foundation") are a band from Manchester, England that originally became known for creating a mystery about themselves by declining requests for interviews and not releasing much information to the press. Seaworthy, a three piece collectivefrom Sydney, Australia that primarily revolves around core member Cameron Webb as well as Sam Shinazzi and Greg Bird, was formed in early 2000 to explore melodic and experimental approaches to the construction (and unravelling) of minimalist sound scapes from looped guitar, warm drones, piano, electronics and field recordings. The compositions often blur the lines of conventional categorisation with elements traditionally considered part of “indie” or “post” rock blended with processed musical and field recordings usually associated with electronic artists.

Grand Salvo is Paddy Mann - a musician from Melbourne who has been performing and recording albums for around a decade. He has produced five albums which have received critical acclaim, one of his albums is titled "Soil Creatures". "Death", released March 15, 2008, through Spunk Records, in association with Preservation, is an 'animal' concept album that focuses on a "bird, a rabbit, a rat, a bear and a man all telling their own tale, coming together to weave a fairytale," and features vocalist Zoe Randell.

Hype Williams, comprised of Dean Blunt and Inga Copeland, is named after the film maker responsible for Belly. Starring rappers Nas and DMX, it was a hyper-stylised, Nihilist mess and this London duo borrow its finer traits, its strut and loathing. From beneath a medicated haze they lace twanging Americana with seams of swaggering dread. They are Bobby Peru made music. The band's sound consists of very lo-fi, homegrown recordings incorporating hip-hop and '80s references—and the persona going along the band is equally as bricolaged as the tracks.
Line Drawings have just released their debut album take/over. Take/over was crafted in the summer of 2009/10 at various places in Sydney’s inner- west, and later polished at either side of the Pacific by Wayne Connolly (You Am I, Josh Pyke, Youth Group) and Bob Weston (Sebadoh, Archers Of Loaf). ‘Take/over’ calls to mind the places it was made. Its dissonant and dirty guitars recall the sounds of quintessential Australian indie rock while the easy complexity of the rhythm section would not be out of place in Chicago.
