Sevendust is an alternative metal band from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. They formed in late 1994 under the name "Crawlspace" but later were forced to change their name when a group from the West Coast claimed rights to it. They struggled to find a new title but finally settled on Sevendust after bassist Vinnie Hornsby was looking through his grandmother's garage and found a can of plant pesticide called "Sevindust.
Shihad are a four-piece band from New Zealand, comprising Jon Toogood (guitar/vocals), Tom Larkin (drums), Karl Kippenberger (bass) and Phil Knight (guitar). Their style is best described as "hard rock", although they were described as "metal" in their formative years. Shihad were formed in 1988 in Wellington, New Zealand. They were briefly known between 2002-2004 as "Pacifier". During this time the band was attempting to break into the US market and it was decided that Shihad sounded too much like the arabic word 'jihad', thus the name change. Rincon are a 5 piece alternative rock outfit from Melbourne, Australia. In March 2008, Rincon released their much anticipated debut album, "Evolution". This is the first full length album to have come out of the Bigger Music Productions workshop with Stuart Biggins at the helm. "Evolution" was mixed by Justin Thomas (USA). "Evolution" has been successfully received throughout both Australia and overseas, gaining various placements with Red Bull Europe/USA, their music featuring on Red Bull Air Race & Motorcross DVD's.
Ted Poley was born in Englewood, New Jersey in 1964. He started in music with the band Lush as a drummer. The band also featured bassist Joe Slattery, with whom Poley would play again later. He then joined New Jersey progressive rock band Prophet as a drummer. They released their first album in 1985. Poley also sang lead vocals on some of their songs. In 1987, while working with the band's second album, he was approached by Bruno Ravel and Steve West to join Danger Danger and he accepted. With Danger Danger, Poley enjoyed much success as the band caught the late surge wave of 80s hair rock.
Tonk are a Hard Rock band based in Canberra, A.C.T. According to themselves, they are "everything that's wrong with the world, and everything that's right with rock 'n' roll." Queens of the Stone Age is a hard rock band from Palm Desert, California. The band is frequently labeled stoner rock, although they reject the label. QOTSA developed a style of riff-oriented, heavy music which the band's founder and mastermind Josh Homme described as 'robot rock', saying that he "wanted to create a heavy sound based on a solid jam, just pound it into your head". Since then, their sound has evolved to incorporate a variety of different styles and influences.

Rob Zombie was born as Robert Cummings in Haverhill, Massachusetts on January 12, 1965. He was the former lead singer for the rock/metal group White Zombie, and later became a successful solo artist, disbanding the group after his first solo album sold more in the first week than any of the band's albums ever did. He released that album, Hellbilly Deluxe, in 1998 . Remixes of some of its tracks were released on 1999's American Made Music To Strip By, followed up by the studio release called The Sinister Urge in 2001.
