From Gregs Myspace: Greg began Dj-ing in 1989 at the age of 17 shortly after emigrating to Perth Western Australia from Northampton England, he had been a heavy collector of vinyl since 1982 and since he already had a collection of 1000+ he decided it was time to purchase some decks and get seriously into dj-ing. The music Greg was collecting in the 80's was mainly hip hop, electro, soul & funk and a bit of reggae/dub, when he began mixing it was strictly hip hop until late 1990 when Greg was taken to a club in Perth called Limbo's and heard a Dj 'Dave Jackson' spin some early house...

Based in Brighton, UK, Prolix is part of the exciting new generation of artists and DJs that are mashing clubs up across the globe with their sound of hard edge drum and bass. Having released further tunes on Hardware and one on Industry, (‘Vacuum’ with EBK), including 'Innocence' on the '3 The Hardway EP' as well as a remix of Chase and Status' ‘ Barbarians' for their ‘Ten Tonne’ EP, Prolix then hooked up with DJ Hype and Pascal of seminal label Tru Playaz.

Marcus Intalex

Marcus Intalex is 'pretty fly for a white guy'. Through his production with St Files as M.I.S.T. (Marcus Intalex & ST Files), he has produced incredibly popular remixes for classic tracks such as Just a Vision and Sincere. Marcus is one of the most recognizable names in the increasingly popular genre referred to as liquid funk. Alongside producers such as Calibre, Peshay and High Contrast, Marcus is bringing the Soul back to the Step.

Heist

There are three artists with the name Heist: 1. Heist was a short lived Australian hardcore punk / powerviolence band from the mid 1990s. Along with Rupture, Heist were one of the first, most prominent, and most influential powerviolence bands to emerge from the Australian hardcore scene. Their discography consists of only two releases: a self-titled 7" EP (1995) and 7" EP titled "Pain is Causing Life" (1997). It is not known when the band formed and ended. Heist's drummer has since gone on to play for the well-known Australian hardcore band Extortion.

Xilent

Xilent (Eryk Kowalczyk) is a young drum’n'bass producer. Originally from Warsaw (Poland), Eryk produced his first bits at the age of nine, when he was introduced to the Propellerhead Rebirth RB-338 synthesizer set. From then on, he tended to diversify his sound from techno, through breakbeat, finally to find his place in the drum’n'bass genre, influenced by artists like DJ Rap, Future Cut, Calyx, Concord Dawn. Throughout that time he also found himself playing the drums in a few hardcore punk bands like Fast Forward.

Shock One

Coming from a traditionally trained musical background Shock One bring a unique sound to the drum and bass music scene. Discovering the sound through artists like Bad Company, Konflict and Ed Rush & Optical, it wasn’t long before Karl Thomas and Jay Burns, at the time playing in a metal band with members of Pendulum, were experimenting in the electronic music. It was when Shock One’s tune ‘Silverscreen’ dropped at a pendulum return show that things started to really move.

Rregula

Rregula is the stage name of Ross Deschamp, a Drum and Bass DJ and producer. Based out of Perth, Western Australia, he started making Drum & Bass in 2001 after listening to the sounds of Sinthetix, Rob F, Skynet, SKC, Cause 4 Concern, and Black Sun Empire. Following his first taste of an Akai sampler to drop film samples on the intros of songs in his metal band, The Dirty Whittler, Rregula eventually found himself drawn into the world of drum and bass and formed one half of BaD RoBoT in 2003, a monster collaboration with future Technique and Viper superstar, Phetsta.
