Epithets

Epithets is a collective-type arrangement led by Nick Smethurst, formerly of Let's Not (but say we did) and Mr. Maps, and presently also of Carry Nation and Lion Island . For the self-titled debut release, the ensemble of players is made up of current or former members of Let's Not (but say we did), To the North, Carry Nation, Lion Island, Rialto Decibel Choir, The Paper and The Plane, chalkandcheese and others. It was recorded by Steve Bartlett (Skinny Jean, Mr. Maps)

The Beat Disease

Formed in early 2007, Melbourne band, The Beat Disease, consist of a trio of Lewis Francis Hodgson (vocals and guitar), Nick "the Infidel" Imfeld (bass and vocals) and Chris Gray (drums).

The Ivys

Based on Sydneys Northern Beaches, 2009 saw the release of their massively fancied debut EP INSIDE OUT and their critically acclaimed national tour with UKs KEANE. 2010 brought some changes to the line up and a regeneration of an already unique sound bringing new songs, new directions and a massive lift in energy. Lead singer and songwriter Luke Hannaford has been working on new material for most of this year, tapping a raw and rich vein of ideas that leaves the band with tough choices about what they should take into the studio.

Gang of Four

Gang of Four are a British post-punk group from Leeds, England. Original personnel were singer Jon King, guitarist Andy Gill, bass guitarist Dave Allen and drummer Hugo Burnham. They were fully active from 1977 to 1984, and then re-emerged twice in the 1990s with King and Gill. In 2005, the original lineup reunited. The group had a single in the British Top 60 with "At Home He's A Tourist" in 1979, which was blacklisted by Top Of The Pops for its use of the relatively innocuous term "rubbers".

Pioneers of Good Science

Pioneers of Good Science have been playing together since mid 2007. Their influences are varied, including post-punk, post-rock, instrumental/experimental, 70's punk and new wave bands. They're currently based in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. Debut album 'From the forest, they did roam' out now! This was recorded over a long weekend early in 2010 by POGS on their 4-track tape recorder.

My Disco

My Disco is a musical collaboration between Liam Andrews (bass, vocals), Rohan Rebeiro (drums) and Ben Andrews (guitar) that formed in Melbourne, Australia in 2003. Named after a Big Black song, the band contains member of the former Clann Zú, Days Of Iris and Heartfeltself. In 2003, My Disco performed their first shows in small venues in and around Melbourne, including many 2 PM all-ages house shows. Late 2003 saw the release of their debut 7", and marked their first Australian tour.

Box Elder

Box Elder is a band from Adelaide Australia. Their sound has evolved between noise and indie pop influences including bands such as Pavement, Sonic Youth, Frusciante, Joy Division, the Strokes etc along that vibe. Shows may include second drum kits, glockenspiel, harmonica, synthesizer and a variety of percussion instruments, layered on top of three guitars, bass and drums. Oh, and delay. Their first EP 'Rewind the Fall' was recorded, mixed and mastered in their homes and will be physically available soon. Plans for recording of tracks for an album are evolving alongside new material.

The Wreckery

THE WRECKERY are a Melbourne based formed by Hugo Race and Ed Clayton-Jones on their return home from tenure with Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds in Europe and the U.S.A. Robin Casinader joined on drums having played with Hugo and Ed in the art punk outfit Plays with Marionettes. Nick Barker and Charles Todd finished the line up on bass and sax respectively. THE WRECKERY were a big hit on the live circuit and had a large and loyal following.
