Anguish

There are many bands with the name Anguish. These include: 1. A Swedish doom metal band influenced by <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Candlemass" class="bbcode_artist">Candlemass</a>. Released their debut album Through the Archdemon's Head on Dark Descent Records in early 2012. <a href="http://www.myspace.com/anguishdoommetal" rel="nofollow">http://www.myspace.com/anguishdoommetal</a> 2. A 5-piece deathcore band from the North-West coast of Tasmania formed in 2009 influenced by the likes of <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/The+Red+Shore" class="bbcode_artist">The Red Shore</a>, <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Whitechapel" class="bbcode_artist">Whitechapel</a> and <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Thy+Art+Is+Murder" class="bbcode_artist">Thy Art Is Murder</a>. Agonhymn

Agonhymn are a crushing, extremely detuned 2 piece from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Originally a breakaway from an earlier Bendigo-based stoner rock band, Zuul, Liam (drums) and Dav (vocals/melodyhorn/samples/baritone guitar) decided there was much to be said for 2 guys sounding heavier than 6. The band has released a demo tape (Telekinesis) and a full length (Doom Jazz), the latter of which which is available on the Heathen Skulls label.

Talbot

Talbot is a down-tempo / psychedelic duo highly inspired by doom and experimental genre music from Tallinn, Estonia. Formed in year 2003, but real activity started in August 2008. The mythical and sacred fire-being phoenix lives a thousand years and perishes in flames after building a nest. Few are those who know that the bird leaves behind two eggs - a white one and a black one. From the white a new phoenix hatches, but what might emerge from the black, nobody knows.

Pod People

Pod People is an Australian doom metal band from Canberra. Their sound combines doom/stoner metal with death metal vocals. They have released three EPs, one album and one 7". Pod People have opened for the likes of doom masters Electric Wizard and Cathedral. The band recorded a new album over the later half of 2007 and early 08 and are looking to release their next album "Mons Animae Mortuorum" (Mountain of the Souls of the Dead) through Goatsound in Australia in August 2008 and hopefully Rise Above internationally.

Rise of Avernus

RISE OF AVERNUS are a doom metal five piece from Sydney, Australia. The brainchild of guitarist / vocalist Ben Vanvollenhoven (Ex-STODOWA) and vocalist / keyboardist, Catherine Guirguis (KATABASIS, Ex-BLACK HORIZON), the music is based around the incongruent, yet complimentary combination of Guirguis’ classically inspired piano melodies and Vanvollenhoven’s monolithic riffs. Through their duelling vocal personas, Guirguis and Vanvollenhoven explore dark, poignant themes with impassioned arrangements and a unique down tempo theatricality.

Archaic

Archaic was formed by 3 ex-members of Braindeath (2001-2004, Hungary) in 2004, setting a new path in musical experience - mainly thrash coloured with many kinds of other influences - but still based on the old style of the group. Among a couple of concerts, the band had its second blitzkrieg in Kiev (Ukraine) the same year, but for the first time under the name Archaic. The members have decided to record the first album and started prepare for the big event.
