Austin-based doom band, Destroyer of Light, formed in the beginning of 2012. Each member coming from different bands wanted create slow, heavy, riff-induced music and bring it to the masses. Gathering influences from a variety of different styles, each member brings their flavor to the table, and the music speaks for itself. Destroyer of Light is a 4-piece band consisting of Steve Colca on guitars/vocals, Keegan Kjeldsen on lead guitar, Mark Mars on bass, and Kelly "Penny" Turner on drums.
Rituals of the Oak are a traditional doom metal band from Sydney, Australia, formed in 2009 by previous members of Transcending Mortality and Lycanthia. Eagle Twin is a two-man doom metal / sludge outfit from Salt Lake City, Utah, United States formed in 2007 featuring Gentry Densley (Ascend, Iceburn) on baritone guitar / vocals and Tyler Smith (Form of Rocket) on drums. Behold the debut album from Eagle Twin. Although Eagle Twin is a very new entity its helmsman: Gentry Densley is no stranger to innovative, heavy music. Densley was the musical visionary and leader of the legendary jazz, prog, rock, metal, hardcore group Iceburn (aka The Iceburn Collective) from 1991-2001.
Katatonia formed in 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden and was brought together by long time friends, Anders Nyström (aka Blakkheim) and Jonas Renkse (aka Lord Seth). After more than a year of rehearsals and composing, the first real fruits of their labour came to light in mid 1992 with the release of the demo ‘Jhva Elohim Meth’, recorded at Sweden’s Gorysound Studio and produced by the multi-instrumentalist Dan Swanö. The demo sold out immediately, bringing Katatonia to the attention of Dutch label Vic Records, who went on to re-release the demo as a mini CD, titled ‘Jhva Elohim Meth – the Revival’.
Mournful Congregation is a band from Adelaide, Australia, founded in 1993, that plays very slow doom metal, with some funeral doom and death/doom influences.
The music revolves around melodies on electric and/or acoustic guitar and is further characterised by minimal drums, deep growled and whispered vocals. Main lyrical themes are personal spirituality, mysticism and depression/doom.

They feature members from <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Towers">Towers</a> and <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Balboa">Balboa</a> and have a 10" record and CD out on Forge Again Records.
Talbot is a down-tempo / psychedelic duo highly inspired by doom and experimental genre music from Tallinn, Estonia. Formed in year 2003, but real activity started in August 2008. The mythical and sacred fire-being phoenix lives a thousand years and perishes in flames after building a nest. Few are those who know that the bird leaves behind two eggs - a white one and a black one. From the white a new phoenix hatches, but what might emerge from the black, nobody knows.
