Mournful Congregation is a band from Adelaide, Australia, founded in 1993, that plays very slow doom metal, with some funeral doom and death/doom influences.
The music revolves around melodies on electric and/or acoustic guitar and is further characterised by minimal drums, deep growled and whispered vocals. Main lyrical themes are personal spirituality, mysticism and depression/doom.
In 2009, the band performed live for the first time in their 15 year existence, with 4 Australian shows, and another 17 shows throughout Europe to promote their 2009 release The June Frost.

Summonus formed in mid 2007 in Sydney, Australia through like-minded musicians wanting to create punishing and brutal sounds involving huge groove based guitar riffs, hauling powerful drums and acidic, gravel-fuelled vocals. Each band member has had experience playing in numerous other bands in Sydney, Melbourne and Scotland over the years from a variety of styles including Grindcore, Hardcore, Punk and Rock.

Earth

There are several artists using the name "Earth". 1) The most well-known Earth is an american drone doom band formed in 1990 in Olympia, Washington, United States by Dylan Carlson, Slim Moon, and Greg Babior. They are pioneers in the minimalistic and repetitive form of doom metal known as drone doom or stoner drone. The band at some point moved to Seattle where Carlson forged a strong friendship with grunge music icon Kurt Cobain, who sang lead vocals for the song Divine and Bright on the live album Sunn Amps and Smashed Guitars.

There are 2 bands with the name Catacombs: 1. Formed in 2000 by Xathagorra Mlandroth and released only one full album in 2006 - "In the Depths of R'lyeh". Catacombs comes from USA and plays very slow funeral doom metal. Xathagorra Mlandroth plays on all the instruments as well as vocals. Austin-based doom band, Destroyer of Light, formed in the beginning of 2012. Each member coming from different bands wanted create slow, heavy, riff-induced music and bring it to the masses. Gathering influences from a variety of different styles, each member brings their flavor to the table, and the music speaks for itself. Destroyer of Light is a 4-piece band consisting of Steve Colca on guitars/vocals, Keegan Kjeldsen on lead guitar, Mark Mars on bass, and Kelly "Penny" Turner on drums.

Church of Misery

Church of Misery is a japanese doom metal band with a specific extra-groovy sound that is often described as "stoner doom" but the band tends to snub this term saying "We hate trend. We hate corporate attitude. We hate the word 'stoner'. Death to false stoners!! Let there be DOOM!!" (citation from the Master of Brutality album cover artwork notes).
Band was formed in 1996 in Tokyo by bassist Tatsu Mikami (ex-Salem) and guitarist Tomohiro Nishimura, line-up was completed with singer Nobukazu Chow and drummer Hideki Shimizu.
