The Cavalcade

There are multiple bands that go by the name of Cavalcade. 1.The Cavalcade are an indie pop band from the rain-swept town of Preston in the north of England, inspired by bands such as Felt, The Clientele and The Field Mice. Formed in 2009, they released their debut EP, Meet You In The Rain, in May of that year. Youth Lagoon

The dreamy, reverb-laden outlet of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Trevor Powers (Boise, ID), sharing his emotions in every drop of his music, leaving no room for any sort of privacy. Debut - Eight lush arrangements that travel through his nostalgia while capturing a deep sense of yearning. Powers channels vocal and at times musical tendencies to that of baroque-pop singer Chris Garneau as well Mike Hadreas of Perfume Genius, both claimed to be influences, but develops a sound that cuts much deeper.

Puro Instinct

Founding Puro Instinct (formerly Pearl Harbor) members Piper and Skylar Kaplan began playing together in the summer of '08 with no experience and no idea what they were getting themselves into. After a year or so, they put together a proper band (Dodi Porter, Jessie Clavin, Mike Baum, and Crazy Murray) to begin crafting their ethereal pop confections. Armed with a barrage of gorgeously intertwining guitar lines, vocals drenched in swooning reverb, and a subtle tsunami of dark synth melodies.

Sounds Like Sunset

Sounds Like Sunset's music is a mix of simple songs taken on sort of a wild ride - freely moving in directions led by huge guitars and feedback, and drawing on influences such as BailterSpace, The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and the gloomier side of The Beach Boys in equal measure. The band formed in Sydney, Australia in 1997 with David Challinor (vocals, guitar), David Hobson (bass) and Rohan Geddes (drums).

Mercury Rev

Mercury Rev is an American rock music group, that formed in 1989 in Buffalo, New York. Original personnel were David Baker (vocals), Jonathan Donahue (vocals, guitars), Sean "Grasshopper" Mackowiak (guitars, clarinet), Suzanne Thorpe (flute), Dave Fridmann (bass) and Jimy Chambers (drums). With their debut, Yerself Is Steam, the band gained an underground following, particularly in the UK. 1993's Boces was critically acclaimed for its alternative sound, and the band's next album, See You on the Other Side...

Beach House

Beach House is a dream pop group which formed in 2005 in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The group consists of Victoria Legrand (vocals, organ) and Alex Scally (guitar, keyboards). Legrand is the niece of french composer Michel Legrand. The group has released three albums: 2006's "Beach House", 2008's "Devotion" and "Teen Dream" in early 2010.. Within a year of formation, the group charmed indie music enthusiasts across the blogosphere with their languid songcraft, while the eerie warmth of "Apple Orchard" landed on Pitchfork's Infinite Mixtape MP3 series in August 2006.

Memory Tapes

Memory Tapes is a recording alias of New Jersey-based Dayve Hawk. Memory Tapes' first LP, Seek Magic was released in September 2009, through the label Sincerly Yours, and in the UK on Something In Construction.
He also has released tracks under the names Memory Cassette and Weird Tapes.

Julianna Barwick

Louisiana-bred, Brooklyn-based recording artist Julianna Barwick crafts ethereal, largely wordless soundscapes, all of which are built around multiple loops and layers of her angelic voice. Barwick, who credits a rural, church choir upbringing for her unique sound, begins most tracks with a single phrase or refrain, then uses a loop station and the occasional piano or percussive instrument to build the song into a swirling mass of lush, ambient folk.
