My Own Enemy

My Own Enemy is a band from the South-East suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.
One of the hardest working and well known live acts of the region, they have played with many bands at many venues all over Melbourne.
Complex, thrash-influenced guitar riffs and pounding double-kick drums pair with the intense screaming/singing blend of vocals to bring a fresh metal sound to the local music scene. www.myownenemy.com.au

Garage Hymnal

Garage Hymnal are a collaboration of professional Christian musos, committed to taking time out of their normal gigs to lead the church in worship. Originally formed as the Sydney University Evangelical Union’s 2004 annual conference band, they were quickly overwhelmed by the need for evangelical worship leaders in Sydney and started recruiting like-minded contributors to the project. With over 50 contributors, Garage Hymnal is about bringing together musos from all sorts of denominations and from all over Sydney.

Rocketsmiths

The rabble-rousing Rocketsmiths are at it again, with the release of new single ‘Underground’ – the Brisbane quintet’s rock ode to riding a slippery slope into depravity. Whether an autobiographical tale or not, the track is the first sign of the good times to come from their Magoo produced debut album titled The Bones, to be released nationally mid-year. The antipated debut album moves firmly in the direction of indie-rock and punk party jams, following the country/rockabilly tinged explorations of the EPs Parts, Pieces and Meet Horace And Clyde.

With a dedicated love of melodic pop-rock, Celadore’s approach to their debut EP Distance Is A Gun was all about the songs. “Our songs are drawn from personal experience. Distance Is A Gun is the title track and strangely enough was the last song that we worked on prior to recording. We had already started pre-production when Coops brought in a rough demo. With its catchy pulse and crashing chorus, it was the way the relatively bleak and defeated lyrics sat with the upbeat energy of the melody that stood out.” – Celadore
