There's one very good reason why Purple Sneakers has been Sydney's longest running and most popular indie party club for 5 very successful years; the reason for the awesome house party atmosphere and packed out crowds each and every week. And that's the Purple Sneakers DJs. Born from the womb of this iconic indie monster the Purple Sneakers DJs strove to mix guitar-based indie hits into dancefloor destroying tracks and prove that just because you play indie you don't have to suck as a DJ - as dance music authority InTheMix puts it "those Purple Sneakers cats can really fucking mix!".

(1) Happy Camper is a Dutch music project founded by Job Roggeveen from El Pino and the Volunteers. He began with the idea for the project three years ago. Their debut album is planned to come out in the first week of January 2011. For the different songs Job Roggeveen asked many different vocalists including: Tim Knol, Leine, David Pino & Appel (El Pino & The Volunteers), Janne Schra (Schradinova), Ricky Koole, Johannes Sigmond (Blaudzun), Marien Dorleijn (Moss), Helge Slikker (storybox), Bouke Zoete (The Kevin Costners) and Odilo Girod (Chop Wood / Coparck).

spitfireliar are a brisbane based hardcore punk rock band who pride themselves on their energetic live shows, probably best described as 'alcohol infused punk rock'. they recently released their debut 7 track e.p. which was recorded with jeff lovejoy @ black box studios in brisbane and mastered at the blasting room by jason livermore and bill stevenson (decendents, all, black flag). some of the tracks can be heard here, and the cd is available at live shows for $10.
