Skrillex is the pseudonym used by Sonny Moore to differentiate his dance music from his band music. It was originally an old AIM screenname of his. Throughout 2010 Skrillex has become more and more a part of Sonny Moore’s life, having released the ‘My Name Is Skrillex EP” for free and ‘Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites’ through Mau5trap on Beatport exclusively until November 19th, where it will arrive at all other digital distribution stores and websites.
There are at least four artists performing under the name Pangaea. 1) 25-year-old Kevin McAuley began making music with a two-track mixer, a keyboard and a tape deck as a schoolboy. Discovering dubstep via the sounds of Mala in the backroom of a Leeds club in 2005, Kevin was inspired to found the city’s first dubstep night, Ruffage, and launched himself into the studio. Pangaea enters 2009 as an established DJ/producer and co-owner of Hessle Audio with fellow stalwarts Ramadanman and Ben UFO.
Garage Pressure is made up of Farj and Paul. They are dubstep and grime dj/producers, hosting the Garage Pressure Show on FBI Radio (94.5 FM in Sydney, Australia) and weekly podcast. They run Aquatic Lab, Australia's first dubstep label. Farj and Paul are dedicated to developing and promoting new sounds in the growing dubstep and grime scene. Tom Fisher aka Tempa has been quietly building himself a reputation as the one of the most exciting new producers in the east of England. He broke onto the UK Hip-Hop scene in 2004 as a guest producer on the debut LP by Suffolk hopefuls Vinyl Dialect (Bad Magic). Also Tempa is a grime MC from Birmingham, working with artist such as Dapz, Trilla and the Stay Fresh camp, features frequently on Donttourthat.
Distance (born Greg Sanders) is a London born producer and DJ notable for being a major proponent of the dubstep genre, especially since the release of his debut album "My Demons" in January 2007. He also founded the record label Chestplate in that year to promote himself and other dubstep artists. Distance is also an alias of idm/demoscene musician Lackluster.

Blunt Instrument are a live glitch hop duo based in Brisbane, Australia. Using a combination of beats, breaks, leads, samples and turntablism to
create a multi-layered live sound. Their production is influenced pretty heavily by guys like Tipper, Bassnectar and the more recent glitch hoppers,
as well as traditional samplers like anyone from Ninja Tune.... Punk band from London, UK. Active from 1977-1978. Released one single No Excuse / Interrogation on Diesel Records in 1978.
With initial support in the form of grime veteran Plastician, “Birmingham’s finest” Emalkay gained the attention of South London based label Boka Records with the warped, future bass drones and epic strings of Gut Feeling. Continuing the success, Testing The Waters EP was released in October 2006 followed by Monsters in June 2007. The revolutionary sound of Mecha, released in the fall of 2007, gained Emalkay support from the likes of Radio 1 DJ Mary Anne Hobbs and breakbeat pioneer FreQ Nasty, as well as many of the leading figures of the current dubstep scene.
As one of South East Asia’s pioneers of the drum & bass sound, Kiat has been championing the darker experimental side of electronica with quality breaks, rolling bass-lines and leftfield influences over many years. Together with fellow Singaporean Ash, they has also been featured as “Leader of the Nu-Skool” in recognised international drum & bass magazines KNOWLEDGE and ATM. In addition, his productions have aired on BBC’s ‘Goldie’sEssential mix’ as well as 1XTRA, BBC’s online urban music radio station.
