Dead Beat Band

Hip shakin’ sun soaked bearded garage surf rock, washed up with a fresh love for whiskey wisdoms and one night stands. These romping dead beats are all about getting people off there seats, with shimmy sounds, just hanging to get stomped to the ground. ‘no shirt no shoes no worries’

Emperors

Emperors started out in 2009 as a studio project with Adam Livingston and Greg Sanders having the common goal of writing catchy, loud pop music without any trace of cynicism or pretension. The songs combine rich melodies, anthemic vocals and abrasive guitars with the influences being varied, but firmly entrenched in 90’s indie rock and 80’s punk.
So what began as an inebriated, weekly ritual in a North Perth apartment developed over the next year until it became a poorly rehearsed but passionate rock n roll machine.

THREE DIRT MEN WITH THREE DRUMS Y THREE GUITARS. Thee Oh Sees

John Dwyer (of Coachwhips, Pink & Brown, Landed, Yikes, Burmese, The Hospitals, Sword & Sandals, Superpit, The Drums, The Trawgs, Zeigenbock Kopf and Dig That Body Up It's Alive!) is in Thee Oh Sees and he seems to be making this band the most serious project. He's done everything from noise to death metal to punk and now Thee Oh Sees. Thee Oh Sees are no doubt the lightest of his excursions, but in contrast to the rest of his resume one could surmise that there are significant reasons for the change.

Asteroid B-612

Asteroid B-612 is the home of the Little Prince in Antoine de Saint-Exupery's children's story The Little Prince. No less than two bands have borrowed the name: 1. Punk, Sydney.
Formed in 1992 in Sydney and quickly became mainstays of the then-burgeoning Melbourne punk scene, sharing a sweaty Detroity rock aesthetic, as well as gigs, with bands like Hoss, Bored!, The Powder Monkeys and Seminal Rats. Have sporadically recorded and toured to a devoted fanbase ever since.

M.O.T.O.

MOTO stands for Masters Of The Obvious. Pretty much it's Paul and whoever is playing with him at the time. Some people think Paul's lyrics are too dirty but most people think they are funny. MOTO write songs that are catchy. That's all that really matters. It all got started in the early 80's in New Orleans. But then Paul moved somewhere else. MOTO have released dozens of albums, some cassette only, some CDs, some are little vinyl discs like this one. You've probably never heard of MOTO. It's a good thing that now you know.

www.myspace.com Iowa: a place, sure, but also a state of mind. It’s a place somewhere between shoegaze and psychedelia, a spacious soundscape of reverb, feedback and dirty, dirty fuzz that could have provided a home for everyone from Spacemen 3 to the Jesus & Mary Chain. And it’s a state of mind shared by the Melbourne three-piece of the same name.
