Stranglehold were a Punk band from Boston. They started in 1982 and broke up in 1984,in between they released one 12 inch and one 45 rpm for Taang! Records, they toured the country with The F.U.'s who they shared a practice space with and also played with the likes of the Circle Jerks, Suicidal Tendencies, Dr Know,Iron Cross, Marginal Man, 45 Grave and TSOL.. Dark Horse's origins were formed in late 2005 with the band playing cover songs in typical garage band fashion. This lasted a few months before they decided to start working on original material. Before their first song was wrapped up they had invited Adam to join the ranks and take on the role as lead singer and guitarist. With the lineup now complete the band continued to focus on writing original material under the name Cairnlea and performed their first live show in December of 2006.

Above & Beyond are a British trance music group formed in 2000 and consists of the members Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki. The trio are popular in the electronic dance music scene for their forward-thinking uplifting trance productions and collaborations with renowned vocalists. They have their own record label, Anjunabeats, which releases trance & progressive music, and they also host their own weekly radio show, Trance Around the World.

A driving force behind the band Goanna when in 1982 they released the album "Spirit of Place" which contained the hit single "Solid Rock". After the release of their second album the band went their separate ways and Shane launched a successful solo career as a folk, country rock artist. Songs he wrote have also been recorded by artists such as John Farnham and Mary Black.
Simon Breed began The Birthmarks when, some time after the demise of his critically-acclaimed band Breed, he took himself to New York with an acoustic guitar and a cheap keyboard from Brixton Market, to test his mettle with solo gigs in the East Village. After going down a storm, he returned to London to play with the occasional assistance of talented multi-instrumentalist John Sullivan on keyboards.
Burnie, Tasmanian trio INTENSE HAMMER RAGE go all out to shock with their brand of gut churning Grindcore. The band themselves subtly describe their own particular brand of Death Metal as "Putridfoulfesteringdeathgrindcuntcore". INTENSE HAMMER RAGE announced their arrival with a 1995 tape ‘The 24cm Makita Brand Circular Saw’ capitalized on by the following years ‘Massive Sphinkta Release’. Although a quartet at this stage the band would dispense with their vocalist, for reasons as the band put it succinctly of being "lazy, whining, so called vocalist".
Tailor Made for a Small Room are a Tokyo-based duo who specialize in lo-fi electronica, not dissimilar in style to the likes of Lullatone and 4 Bonjour's Parties. It comes as no surprise, then, to learn that one half of TMFASR also belongs to 4 Bon, while the other half is the singer for Lost in Found, winners of Japanzine's Gaijin Sounds 2008 competition. Both members are Japanese, though much of their work is sung in English.
The latest signee to Ajax’ record label, Sweat it Out, Dcup has already drawn comparisons with Treasure Fingers, Miami Horror, and Shazam, from influential names in the industry. He’s funk fuelled disco for right now. Signed in May, this year, he’s the seventh artist to join the cutting edge roster of Sweat it Out members. Others include Gameboy/Gamegirl, Act Yo Age, KillaQueenz, Yoland Be Cool, and Pablo Calamari.
