The Hold Steady

The Hold Steady is a Brooklyn-based rock band formed by vocalist/guitarist Craig Finn (ex-Lifter Puller) in 2004. Wanting to capture the sound of bands such as The Replacements and The Grifters, he recruited guitarist Tad Kubler (also ex-Lifter Puller), drummer Judd Counsell, and bassist Galen Polivka. In 2005 the band grew to include Franz Nicolay (of The World/Inferno Friendship Society) on keyboards and Bobby Drake took over on drums following Counsell's departure.

Say Anything

Say Anything is an alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, United States in 2001. Originally dubbed Sayanything, the band now consists of founding members Max Bemis (vocals/guitar) and Coby Linder (drums), along with Jake Turner (guitar), Jeff Turner (guitar) and Parker Case (keyboard). Say Anything began their career when the band was still in high school. They self-released two EP's and one LP entitled Baseball.

Funeral Party

Funeral Party is a four-piece band that formed late one night in a park. Hardcore bands and metal bands dominated the local music scene at the time in Whittier, California, an East Los Angeles suburb comprised of mostly working-class enclaves. In the East Los Angeles neighborhoods adjacent to Whittier however, a post-punk dance-craze revival was emerging and Funeral Party began gigging every weekend. The band quickly developed a following and a D.I.Y.

Weezer is an American alternative rock band. Formed in 1992, they have released eight full length albums, six EPs, and a DVD. Their latest album, Hurley, was released on September 14th, 2010. They have sold over 9 million records in the United States to date. Lakes

There are at least three artists that go by the name of Lakes: *UK Post-Hardcore group (MusicBrainz) who have now changed their name to Kid Pang 1. US Indie group Seth Roberts (formerly of Watashi Wa) emerges with his latest project, Lakes. Featuring a melodic indie rock sound in the same vein as bands like Mae and former labelmate Copeland, Roberts diverges from Watashi Wa musically, while retaining a songwriting style that focuses on life, love, and hope. The Trews

The Trews are a Canadian rock group from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, consisting of vocalist Colin MacDonald, guitarist John-Angus MacDonald, bassist Jack Syperek, and drummer Sean Dalton. The band are currently based in Toronto, Ontario. The band started off with the name One I'd Trouser, before changing their name to Trouser and eventually The Trews. The Ancients
