They have been together since mid 2006. They have finally got a secure line up with all five members commited and are all level minded about the music they are playing. It started in the summer of 1999 when Roberth, Janne, Mikael and Jonas began to talk about forming a new band. They wanted to build a brutal and straight-forward metal act. And in autumn that same year they started to rehearse. One day their friend Janos stopped by during a rehearsal-session. He asked if he could join and soon he was a permanent member of the band. Their line-up was now complete.

Cemetery Urn was formed in the Australian summer 2006 in Melbourne, Australia, by Andrew Gillon (Abominator, Bestial Warlust) and Damon Bloodstorm (Corpse Molestation/Bestial Warlust, Abominator, Kutabare). During many....many meetings at the bar throughout 2005 a dark vision of a new band was evolving. Through the alcoholic haze, a new force in Melbourne Death Metal was emerging. As Andrew was about to enter the studio to complete the recording of the forth devastating full length offering from Abominator, the now complete vision was put on ice until Andrews recording commitments were done.
