CheekyMonkeyComedy.com is headed by Australia’s foremost comedy writing teacher – Tim Ferguson. He’s a comedian, screenwriter, movie director and producer. Tim has trained thousands of comedy writers, producers and comedians. Many have gotten their projects made, winning international awards and competitions.

Tim Ferguson has taught comedy screenwriting worldwide, including New York University, Scotland Screen Academy, Australian Film Radio & Television School, RMIT University and Victorian College of the Arts. Tim tours the world performing stand-up and musical comedy. He’s co-written dozens of live stage comedy shows and hundreds of hours of comedy and entertainment TV.

Aziz Ansari

Aziz Ansari (born February 23, 1983) is an American actor and comedian. He is best known as one of the stars of the critically acclaimed sketch comedy series Human Giant on MTV, for which he is also a writer and executive producer. Eddie Izzard

Edward John Izzard (born February 7, 1962) is a British stand-up comedian and actor. He has a very individual style of rambling, surreal monologue. He has turned his attention to acting as well as maintaining his demanding touring schedule.
Early life and career
Izzard was born in Aden, Yemen, as the youngest son of John and Ella Izzard. In 1963, shortly before Britain abandoned the capital of Aden, the Izzards moved to Northern Ireland.

Tenacious D

Tenacious D (often referred to as "The D" and sometimes introduced as "The Greatest Band in the world. Period.") is an American satirical rock duo formed by musicians and actors Kyle Gass and Jack Black in Los Angeles, California in 1994. Their music fuses vulgar absurdist comedy with rock music in a style that critics have described as "mock rock". The band first gained reputation in 1999, starring in a self-titled HBO TV series.

Billy Connolly

William "Billy" Connolly, CBE, (born 24 November 1942) is a comedian, musician, presenter, and actor. He is sometimes known, especially in his native Scotland, by the nickname "The Big Yin" (The Big One), a reference to his height. Any male visitor to Glasgow above average height may be addressed as "Big Yin" by the locals; Billy, however, is The Big Yin. An early irreverent sketch, The Crucifixion, is an example of his often controversial humour, and his style, in story and song, is known for being somewhat vulgar, and for being very critical towards respected institutions.

Doug Stanhope

Doug Stanhope (born March 25, 1967) is an American stand-up comedian. Stanhope's career began in 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was the host of Comedy Central's The Man Show for its two final seasons and has appeared on ABC's The View. He has also produced and starred in "Invasion of the Hidden Cameras" (a project for the Fox Broadcasting network). Stanhope has made appearances at several major comedy festivals, including the Montreal Just For Laughs, US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado, the Chicago Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland...

Anthony Jeselnik

Anthony Jeselnik (born December 22, 1978) is an American stand-up comedian and television writer. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but currently resides in New York City, New York. He earned a BA in English Literature from Tulane University, then moved to Los Angeles. He has performed stand-up on television programs such as Late Night With Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Down and Dirty with Jim Norton and Last Call with Carson Daly. Jeselnik also had a Comedy Central Presents special that premiered on January 16, 2009.

Bo Burnham

Ever since his first temper tantrum, Bo knew he wanted to perform. After an awkward “athletic” phase, he started dedicating his time to school theater. He continued to nurture his love for performance, receiving rave reviews from countless relatives. Bo chose to attend an all-boys catholic high school, thus giving his nickname “theater queer” some additional validity. During the fall of his junior year in high school, Bo started teaching himself how to play piano and guitar.

Tim Minchin

Tim Minchin (born 1975) is an Australian comedian, actor, composer, songwriter, pianist, musical director and a self proclaimed rock 'n' roll megastar. He was born in Northampton, England, and grew up in Perth, Western Australia. He attended UWA (University of Western Australia) before launching onto the world stage at the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe Festival by winning the Best Newcomer Perrier Comedy Award.

Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim met in 1994 as roommates and film students at Temple University. They were instant friends and remained as such after graduation. They produced a number of short, low-budget films and cartoons for their site, timanderic.com. Their short entitled “Tom Goes to the Mayor” was selected by the Philadelphia Institute of World Cinema as a short film and was included in Penn University’s Institute of Contemporary Art.
