Bears

There are at least 4 bands known as Bears: 1. An indie pop band from Cleveland, Ohio. The band consists of Craig Ramsey (drums, vocals, keys, bells, tambourine, guitar, bass) and Charlie McArthur (guitar, vocals, bass, bells). Bears released a self-titled CD/LP in 2006, an EP called Shortest Day of the Year in 2007, a 7" single called Who Knows in 2008, a second album, Simple Machinery, in 2008, a 7" called Snowman in 2009. St. Vincent

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Annie Clark (born 28 September, 1982) is an American multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter who performs under the moniker St. Vincent. She was a member of The Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Stevens' touring band. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she began playing the guitar at the age of 12 and as a teenager worked as the tour manager for her uncle's band Tuck & Patti. She grew up in Dallas and attended Lake Highlands High School, graduating in 2001. Following this, she went on to attend Berklee College of Music, dropping out 3 years later.

The Bats

There are at least three artists called The Bats: Approaching a quarter century of recording and performing, Christchurch, New Zealand's The Bats have survived seven albums and five world tours with the original line-up of Kaye Woodward, Malcolm Grant, Paul Kean and Robert Scott intact. With a sound at the jangle/indie end of the pop spectrum, the band made significant headway in the States in the 80s alongside Flying Nun label-mates The Chills and The Clean. The 90s saw tours of the US and Europe, supporting the likes of Radiohead, Belly, and R.

Since the EP “The Fauna and The Flora” the band have been busy, not only recording a brilliant debut album, the band moved interstate from their Perth homes and are now residing in Melbourne, where they hit the ground running with shows and recording. Within the move they lost drummer Russell who stayed in Perth who has been replaced by Toby Lang on drums (formerly of The Audreys and Veruca Salt).

Once again produced by Joel Plaskett, Territory builds on the promise of Little Jabs as the band continues to write and record sunny pop gems for the heart and head. Territory, however also finds Two Hours Traffic discovering the shadows at the side of the road.

Ellie Goulding (born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986) is a British singer-songwriter. Born in Hereford, she grew up in Kington, Herefordshire and currently lives in London. Touring since 2008 she released her debut single Under The Sheets on November 16th 2009. The track was produced by Starsmith, who she has been working with since the beginning of her career. Her debut album was released on the 1st of March 2010 and is named Lights.

The New Pornographers

The New Pornographers are a Canadian indie rock group formed in 1997 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Their sound is influenced by that of such power pop bands as The Cars and Cheap Trick, but they use much more sophisticated rhythms and chord changes. Although it was widely reported that the New Pornographers got their name from a pamphlet put out by televangelist Jimmy Swaggart condemning rock ‘n’ roll as “the new pornography,” Carl Newman has stated that he came up with the name after watching a Japanese film called The Pornographers.
