Kano

There are two musical projects by the name of Kano -- one is a grime rapper, and the other is a classic italo-disco project. [1] Kane Brett Robinson (born 21 May 1985 in East Ham, Newham, London, England), better known as Kano, is a grime MC from East Ham, Newham, East London, and has gained wider attention after his debut album Home Sweet Home. His decision to make grime music, and eventually other types of music as well, was vindicated since, in his younger years, he was a promising footballer representing Chelsea F.

Kali

There are, at least, nine artist by this name: 1) Martinican reggae / folk musician Kali (Jean-Marc Monnerville), was born in Fort-de-France in 1959. After music studies in Paris in the 1970s, Kali returned to Martinique, where he contributed to several local bands, including 6ème Continent (Sixth Continent), which fused the traditional folk music of Martinique with reggae. Kali later decided to pursue a solo career. In 1992 Kali represented France in Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Monté La Riviè".

Lyrics Born

Lyrics Born (a.k.a. Asia Born) is Tom Shimura (b. 1972), originally from Berkeley, California, though through his childhood he lived in Tokyo, Japan, and Salt Lake City, Utah. He began his hip hop career while at college at UC Davis, where he was a DJ at the college station KDVS. He is a founding member of the group of artists known as Quannum Projects. He is also one half of the group Latyrx with fellow MC Lateef The Truth Speaker.

There are at least two artists with this name. 1) M.E.D. aka Medaphoar is a hip hop MC who has recorded with Madlib, Wildchild, and Oh No. M.E.D's debut album was released on Stones Throw Records in 2005. Entitled Push Comes To Shove, the album features production from Madlib, J Dilla, Oh No (Madlib's younger brother), and Just Blaze. A CD entitled "Bang Ya Head" was released during Stones Throw's 2005 Tour and features M.E.D (known as Medaphoar) guest spots from 1998 to 2005.
M.E.D. made a dis track toward Canibus called "Lightwork."

GZA/Genius

Gary Grice (born August 22, 1966), better known by his stage name GZA (pronounced /ˈJizzah/) and The Genius, is an American hip hop artist best known as a founding member of the seminal hip hop group the Wu-Tang Clan and for his inclusion on their group albums, his group mates' solo releases and a successful solo career. When it comes to thought provoking, street-bred raw lyricism, the Wu-Tang Clan's fountain of wisdom, GZA takes his job very seriously. The way he crafts his double-edged rhyme flow mirrors the skill and precise technique of one who works with fine ceramics.

Mason Derelle Betha (born August 27, 1977 in Jacksonville, Florida), better known by his stage name Mase, is an American rapper and inspirational speaker. He released his debut album, Harlem World, in 1997 and it went multi-platnium, spawning the singles Feel So Good and What You Want. During the promo tour for his second album, Double Up, he announced his retirement from music. In 2004, under guidance from Diddy he made a relatively successful comeback with the album Welcome Back, but then once again went back to focus on his new career as a preacher.

Ludacris

Christopher Brian Bridges (born September 11, 1977 in Champaign, Illinois), better known by his stage name Ludacris, is a Grammy award winning American rapper, entrepreneuer and actor. He is the highest selling Southern hip hop solo artist of all time with over 15 million units sold in the United States and around 20 million records sold worldwide. He released his debut album Incognegro in 1999 and has since released a further six albums. His eighth studio album, initially slated to be a collaboration album with artist Shawnna entitled Battle of the Sexes, was released in 2010.
