His artistry has been continually described as that of a superb instrumentalist and an elegant musician, possessing a seductive sound and uncommon lyrical gifts. His international tours take him to some of the most important musical centers in the world each season. Recent appearances have included New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Munich, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Rome, Copenhagen, Athens, Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Singer, songwriter, guitarist, actor, GARY CLARK JR. (1984.02.15/Austin, TX - ) began playing guitar at the ripe young age of 12. Born and raised in Austin, TX, Gary continued to play small gigs throughout his early teens, until he popped on the radar of legendary promoter Clifford Antone, owner of the Austin blues club Antone's. Through Clifford's connections, Gary soon began sitting in and learning from an array of musical icons, including the incomparable Jimmie Vaughan.

Paul Gilbert

Paul Gilbert is well known for his highly-acclaimed technical guitar work with <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Racer+X" class="bbcode_artist">Racer X</a> and <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Mr.+Big" class="bbcode_artist">Mr. Big</a> . Dire Straits

Dire Straits was a british rock band, formed in 1977 by Mark Knopfler (guitar and vocals), his brother David Knopfler (guitar), John Illsley (bass), and Pick Withers (drums), and subsequently managed by Ed Bicknell. Dire Straits emerged during the post-punk era of the late '70s, and while their sound was minimalistic and stripped down, they owed little to punk. If anything, the band was a direct outgrowth of the roots revivalism of pub rock, but where pub rock celebrated good times, Dire Straits were melancholy.

the untied knot

The Untied Knot consists of guitarist Nigel Bryant and percussionist Matt Donovan. Its music is a fusion of acoustic guitar filigrees, synthesizer and percussion, notably tablas and glockenspiel. The instrumental debut album “Sketches For A Lost Summer” was released in Summer 2009 to a warm reception including airplay from BBC 6 Music, WFMU in New York and Canal Extremadura in Spain.

Santana

Santana was formed originally in 1966 in San Francisco, California. Carlos Santana is a Mexican-born American. Originally named The Santana Blues Band, they rose to international fame when they performed at the Woodstock festival in 1969. This led to their second studio album, Abraxas (1970), becoming a Latin-Rock standard and a huge critical and commercial success. Over the years their line-up has changed constantly, allowing them to evolve with the times. Over 50 musicians have been in Santana over its 40 year history, but the only constant has been Carlos Santana himself.

Slava Grigoryan

Slava Grigoryan is an Australian classical guitarist and recording artist. He was born in 1976 in Kazakhstan but his family emigrated to Australia in 1981 and he was raised in Melbourne. His father was a professional violinist and Grigoryan began to study guitar with him at the age of seven. By the age of twelve he was already performing professionally and he made his solo debut in Sydney at fourteen.
