Murs

Murs (born Nick Carter on March 16, 1978), is an underground mc from Mid-City Los Angeles. The name 'MURS' is an acronym for Making Underground Raw Shit. Even though his discography spans almost an entire decade he only had limited recognition up until three years ago when he released both the full length Def Jux release The End Of The Beginning and the more introspective Varsity Blues EP, which helped open up a lot of people's eyes to him as a solo artist.

With the ink from their signatures just drying, the latest additions to the Obese Records stable are set to ride the wave of their upcoming self-titled label debut. Having come together during their formative years, Thundamentals developed their skills from the organic and nurturing Blue Mountains hip-hop scene, finding influence and inspiration from local artists Hermitude and Down Under Beats.

Timothy Zachery Mosley (born March 10, 1971 in Norfolk, Virginia, United States) is a Grammy award winning record producer, rapper and singer whose style of production and arranging was very influential in music during the mid-1990s. With partner Magoo, he is a member of the hip hop group Timbaland & Magoo and is the older brother of rapper Sebastian. He released his debut solo album, Tim's Bio: Life From Da Bassment in 1998, followed by Shock Value in 2007, and its follow up, Shock Value II in 2009. He has produced hit tracks for many artists and has his own record label, Mosley Music Group.

Ross founded the record label Maybach Music Group, on which he released his studio albums Deeper Than Rap and Teflon Don. William Leonard Roberts II was born in Coahoma County, Mississippi and raised in Carol City, Florida, near Miami After graduating from Carol City Senior High School, he later attended the historically black college Albany State University in Albany, Georgia.

N.E.R.D (No One Ever Really Dies) is a funk rock, alternative rock and alternative hip hop band formed in 2001. Their music is best described as funk rock, with various other influences, including hip hop, R&B, soul, alternative rock, and blues. Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo met in Virginia Beach, Virginia at the ages of 12 at a summer camp for musicians, which they both disliked. They spent their free time making beats and performing in groups with fellow childhood friend Timbaland. Shay Haley began performing with Williams and Hugo in high school.

Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III (born 1979 in Orange County, California), better known by the stage name Aloe Blacc, is an American soul singer, rapper and musician. He began his recording career as an MC back in 1995 when he joined up with hip-hop producer Exile to form the mainstay indie rap group Emanon. Aloe released his debut solo album Shine Through on Stonethrow Records in 2006 and followed this up in 2010 with Good Things.
