Something for Kate

Something for Kate formed in Melbourne, Victoria in 1994. The founding members of the three-piece band were vocalist and guitarist Paul Dempsey, bass player Julian Carroll (later to be replaced by Stephanie Ashworth) and drummer Clint Hyndman. After recording a 7-track demo in 1995, the band signed to Murmur Records, a subsidiary of Sony. In 1996, they released the 7-track EP The Answer to Both Your Questions, recorded and mixed by Greg Atkinson of Sydney band <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Big+Heavy+Stuff" class="bbcode_artist">Big Heavy Stuff</a>.

Sugar Army

Trying to describe Sugar Army is both joyfully easy and nightmarishly hard. On the one hand you can talk in hyperbole and superlatives, and cover the essential description – that the band is quite unarguably beyond compare – but to try and describe their sound in detail is infinitely more difficult. Stone Temple Pilots

Stone Temple Pilots (commonly referred to as "STP") is a Grammy Award-winning American Rock band consisting of Scott Weiland (vocals), brothers Robert DeLeo (bass guitar, vocals) and Dean DeLeo (guitar), and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion). The band was originally active from 1986 to 2003, and reunited in 2008. The band's five studio albums have sold over 17 million copies in the United States alone.

Regular John guitarist Brock Tengstrom remembers one family gathering where he was primed to meet his cousin’s boyfriend: “He’s in a band,” Tengstrom’s folks told him. Turns out the weird skinny guy with big sunglasses and black fingernails was Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson, pre-Guide to Better Living. “He gave me a copy of that Green EP,” recalls Tengstrom, “and I taught him how to play a few Nirvana songs.”

There is more than one band with this name. 1. Rook were a rock band from Melbourne, Victoria. Formed in 2005 and split up in 2010. They played their last show at the Corner Hotel on 30th of January 2010. “… Melbourne heavy rockers Rook fired up the crowd with tracks from their ’Transitions’ EP. Whilst being a sonically impressive recording, Transitions really comes to life in a live capacity, each track inflating, amplifying and escalating flaunting layers of sound often veiled by the recording process.

Seether is a post-grunge band which formed in Pretoria, South Africa in 1999. The band currently consists of Shaun Morgan (vocals, guitar), Dale Stewart (bass, vocals) and John Humphrey (drums). The band has released six albums and is currently signed to Wind-Up Records in the United States. Early days, Fragile, Disclaimer The band was originally called Saron Gas, but changed their name to Seether.

Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters are an American rock band formed by singer/guitarist Dave Grohl in 1995 in Seattle, USA. Grohl formed the group as a one-man project after the dissolution of his previous band Nirvana in 1994. Prior to the release of Foo Fighters in 1995, Grohl drafted Nate Mendel (bass), William Goldsmith (drums) (both of Sunny Day Real Estate and The Fire Theft), and Pat Smear (guitar) to complete the group.
