Oscar + Martin

Phoenix, ashes, you know the story. Formerly members of Melbourne art-pop weirdos Psuche, Oscar Thorne and Martin King continue their former bands' sonic voraciousness (drum machines, synthesizers, children’s toys and Thorn’s tape loop experimentation), but add a swishy, concise pop sensibility and some hot new beats into the mix. The result: joy x1million.

Tantrums

There are 2 acts plying their trades under the name Tantrums: [1] Tantrums are four boys and one girl from Birmingham, UK, who love guitar pedals, strange time signatures and generally just playing music. They released their first EP, 'Champloo', on Bigger Than Barry Records in the summer of 2010. [2] Colourful triptychs of melancholy melodies collide with frosty drum machine ticks and rainbows of atmospherics layered upon each other.

Blue Shaddy

What is Shaddy? Blue Shaddy are an independent, unsigned band which began its humble existence in the small town of Kellerberrin in Western Australia's wheatbelt back in 1989. Where wheat, sheep, and flies are plentiful, and surprisingly enough for a small country town, it was also home to a number of working musicians, with whom Jim (founder of Blue Shaddy) began gigging regularly at the age of 17.

MC Wrec

Jon Bailey aka MC Wrec is regarded as one of Britains most exciting artists and music entrepreneurs. Known as one of the hardest workers on the circuit, this versatile young grafter shot to fame in recent years after becoming the front man to the multi award winning live act London Elektricity and his work with accliamed eclectic acts The Nextmen, Stanton Warriors and Timo Maas. The Surrey born vocalist who spent time growing up in Berlin, London, Southampton and Brighton, discovered his love for music at a very young age.

The Smoking Hearts

Graceful is definitely not a word to describe The Smoking Hearts. Live shows have seen guitar headstocks smashed and drum kits sprawled across stages. It is not uncommon to find half the band on the floor with the crowd and, on occasion, half the crowd on stage with the band. In their short career as a band, The Smoking Hearts have travelled thousands of miles, opening shows for the likes of Gallows, Bring Me The Horizon, Winnebago Deal and The Supersuckers, as well as some iconic acts such as Misfits and Skid Row.

Kim Salmon

Kim Salmon is a renowned and influential Australian indie rock musician and songwriter. He is most noted for his work with The Scientists, and later with the Beasts of Bourbon, Kim Salmon and the Surrealists and Kim Salmon And The Business. Salmon's work in the 1980s was influential in the development of grunge music, first recognised around Seattle, USA, before impacting on popular music in the early 1990s through bands such as Nirvana and Soundgarden. The Scientists relied on unorthodox bass-heavy rhythms and distorted guitars, the latter being a direct precursor for grunge.

For Our Hero

For Our Hero is an unsigned pop rock band from Melbourne, Australia. The band formed two years ago and have recently released their debut EP 'Threw the Looking-Glass'. Taplin brothers Jay, on vocals and Beau who writes the band's lyrics, Dave Tran and Leon Blair on guitar, while Geoff Taylor and Nax Vee complete the six piece band, play bass and drums. With pitch perfect melodies, beats and rythym as rocking as they come, lyrics as witty and fresh as the song names, For Our Hero's sound is sure to get anyone up jumping and dancing.
