Music From The Penguin Cafe

Arthur Jeffes has brought together a group of musicians to create Music from the Penguin Café, playing the music of his father, Simon Jeffes and the Penguin Cafe Orchestra and combining it with his own compositions. The ensemble that Arthur has drawn together are about the same age as the original members of the PCO when they first started playing together in the late 1970s. Music from the Penguin Café began touring from June 2009 into the early autumn, playing at festivals, concert venues, clubs and parties.

I am Duckeye

I Am Duckeye are a Melbourne rock band, featuring members of Sydonia. Their style could be described as stoner rock/metal, with an emphasis on humour in their lyrics and live performances. The members of the band are:

King Tide

KING TIDE was formed in early 2004 after a successful reggae jam between vocalist Tony Hughes and ‘toaster’ Sean Collins. During a live show in Sydney, the band was spotted by advertising executives who asked them to record a cover of Toots and the Maytals’ “Broadway Jungle” for a Sony TV ad campaign. The band released the cover as a full length single ‘No Dog War’, which received national airplay.

Caitlin Park

Caitlin Park is an electro-acoustic folk artist from Sydney, Australia. Her music is highly influenced by nostalgia for older films (and their soundtracks) which developed through her work at a cult video store. A year of constant shows during 2009 included supports for PONY UP, The Devoted Few, Laura Jean, Leader Cheetah, McKisko, The Paper Scissors, Kat Frankie, The Dead Sea, Sarah Blasko, Holly Throsby, Sally Seltmann, Jack Ladder and more.

Antagonist A.D formed in late 2004 but after trading members & gaining direction a new redux saw the light in 2005. 2005 was a dark year for New Zealand hardcore with prominent bands breaking up, crucial venues being lost & key promoters bowing out. goodbyemotel

“It’s not too bold a statement to say goodbyemotel are one of the finest indie rock bands currently plying their trade.” Inpress Magazine. goodbyemotel have just finished recording their new EP "Wish Your Way”. It was recorded and produced by Julian Mendelsohn, who has worked with greats such as Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel, Pet Shop Boys, INXS and Jimmy Page. The recording experience was amazing and produced four new tracks.
