Mary Anne Hobbs

Mary Anne Hobbs (born May 15th, 1964 in Preston, England) is an English DJ and music journalist from Garstang, Lancashire. In the 1980s, at the age of 19, she worked as a journalist for Sounds Magazine. She later went to work for the NME, before going on to help found Loaded Magazine. She got her break in radio at BBC GLR, working alongside Mark Lamarr. She then worked at XFM before going to BBC Radio 1. She also presented the World Superbikes series 2005 for British Eurosport.

Cheapshot

There are three artists under the title Cheapshot: a dubstep and chiptune artist from Tokyo, a hiphop DJ from California, USA, and a now defunct punk band from Adelaide, South Australia. 1. Cheapshot is strongly influenced by dubstep bass lines, 8-bit music and all things that go BOOM! His chiptune monsters combine dub, uk funky, dubstep and breakbeat. His latest release is an EP on 8bitpeoples called 'zOMG!!'. He has also released a 2 track EP on minikomi's metrodub label. His earlier works can be found on Amenorea Records, and Enough Records.

Joy Orbison

"Cool" uncles have always gotten kids into all kinds of wonderful mischief, but 22-year-old Peter O'Grady from London , better known as Joy Orbison, was especially blessed—he credits uncle Ray Keith with introducing him to jungle and U.K. garage long before he could ever hit the clubs. At the age of 13 he took up DJing and eventually moved into production, beginning with Fruity Loops-crafted 8-bar grime loops before shifting into headier territory that combined his love of house, disco, and dubstep with the atmospheric fuzz of bands like My Bloody Valentine, Josef K, and The Beach Boys.

Jamie Woon is a 25 year old singer-songwriter from Clapton, North-East London, whose sound lies between the usually distinct genres of alternative rock and soul music. Dirtyphonics’ s new release, “French Fuck”, with “Bonus Level” is about to be unleashed on Shimon’s AudioPorn Records. “French Fuck” and “Bonus Level” have been on dance floors around the globe. Meanwhile, the Dirtyphonics crew have been locked in the studio making a string of hard hitting drum and bass tracks, teaming up with Mc Tali for "The Secret” and working on a remix of Shimon’s, “The Shadow Knows”. Another huge Dirtyphonics’ track, “Get Dirty”’, appeared on “Roots & Future” Dope Ammo Camp’s album, earlier in 2008.
