Chris Smith

Chris Smith is a genuine heartfelt vagabond from the southern places below melbourne town. he gave up his ghost for an electric guitar and has continued to manifest apparitions and spirits into this world through the circuitry of that darn piece of art since exiting the 'Golden Lifestyle Band' back sometime in the forgotten nineties. part uneasy silence/part heart breaking noise chris has found a zone rarely inhabited by the vast mountains of guitarrorists wandering the open plains these days. catch his beautiful webs are melbourne town.

Gate

There are multiple artists by the name of Gate: 1.) Michael Morley is a rock and experimental musician from New Zealand. Morley sings and plays guitar as a member of The Dead C, but also records on his own (and with collaborators) as Gate. Earlier, in the 1980's, Morley was a member of Wreck Small Speakers on Expensive Stereos. Morley founded the Precious Metal label sometime in the late 1980's to document, first on cassette and later LP and CD, his own work as Gate. Most of the releases on Precious Metal were limited to very small quantities.

Wooden Shjips

Wooden Shjips is a vital and refreshingly inspired quartet from San Francisco playing loud rock ‘n’ roll in a style heavily influenced by the experimentalism of psychedelia, classical minimalism and garage rock excess. Started as an experiment in rhythmic primitivism and group improvisation, the current lineup brings a more structured rock approach to its performances, utilizing a traditional lineup of drums (Omar Ahsanuddin), bass (Dusty Jermier), organ (Nash Whalen), guitar (Erik “Ripley” Johnson) and vocals.
