Gate
There are multiple artists by the name of Gate: 1.) Michael Morley is a rock and experimental musician from New Zealand. Morley sings and plays guitar as a member of The Dead C, but also records on his own (and with collaborators) as Gate. Earlier, in the 1980's, Morley was a member of Wreck Small Speakers on Expensive Stereos. Morley founded the Precious Metal label sometime in the late 1980's to document, first on cassette and later LP and CD, his own work as Gate. Most of the releases on Precious Metal were limited to very small quantities.

Oren Ambarchi is an electronic guitarist and percussionist, based in Melbourne, Australia, though he was born in Sydney and lived there until the last few years, he has been performing live since 1986. His music often incorporates drones and loops, which he crafts into enigmatic sound worlds with very subtle melodies. His work focuses mainly on the tonal possibilities of the guitar, and is usually produced without the aid of a computer.

There are several artists using the name "Earth". 1) The most well-known Earth is an american drone doom band formed in 1990 in Olympia, Washington, United States by Dylan Carlson, Slim Moon, and Greg Babior. They are pioneers in the minimalistic and repetitive form of doom metal known as drone doom or stoner drone. The band at some point moved to Seattle where Carlson forged a strong friendship with grunge music icon Kurt Cobain, who sang lead vocals for the song Divine and Bright on the live album Sunn Amps and Smashed Guitars.

White Bears Of Norway
White Bears of Norway is a side project of The Rational Academy. Taking their name from an early Rational Academy compilation track, the group played a few improvised shows throughout Australia and Japan in 2009 before settling down in 2010 to focus on establishing the group as a stand alone entity. This new project aims to find middle ground between improvised experimental music, Bleak Folk, Black Metal and elements of Pop music.
