For Our Hero is an unsigned pop rock band from Melbourne, Australia. The band formed two years ago and have recently released their debut EP 'Threw the Looking-Glass'. Taplin brothers Jay, on vocals and Beau who writes the band's lyrics, Dave Tran and Leon Blair on guitar, while Geoff Taylor and Nax Vee complete the six piece band, play bass and drums. Charles Baby sings songs that he believes are sent to him by supreme beings that are trapped underground. Though he also believes these beings will one day break free and wreak a fiery vengeance on this world, he is happy until then to pay homage to them in song. He has opened has career by supporting Tim Rogers, Ash Grunwald and Kate Miller Heidke. Cleptoclectics, aka Tom Smith, samples things, plays various instruments, and extrapolates via granular synthesis to create dense, idiosyncratic music. Warm textures, a distinctive tonal range, and staggered rhythms develop into a subtle form of reverie. Generation Gap(1995 -1996) was the old band of Alex Band(it was his second band) and Aaron Kamin(both from The Calling) when they began playing together. The band consisted of Alex Band(15), Aaron Kamin(19), a 58 year old drummer and a 40 year old bassguitarist. The huge difference in ages obviously was the reason for the bandname.
When Alex Band and Aaron Kamin got a record deal with RCA Records, the band split up. The Demo Cd consisted of 5 tracks;
