Defeater

Formed in Massachusetts in 2004 and solidified in 2008 from a diverse background of musicians, Defeater is a forward-thinking hardcore band with more to them than just mosh parts. The band recently released their debut full-length Travels on Topshelf Records and now, to celebrate their new home, Bridge Nine Records will be re-releasing Travels on CD internationally as well as the vinyl edition in conjunction with Topshelf Records on February 24th, 2009.

The Vampirates

2008 saw the coming together of a group of friends to start The Vampirates. Influenced by bands such as Cancer Bats, Come Back Kid and Pennywise. The Vampirates have staked their claim as one of the most impressive live acts in the nation. Their intense sound gained the attention of Kevin Call of Comeback Kid, who worked closely with the band to produce the 2009 EP 'Cast Aside'. To help gain national exposure The Vampirates have continued to tour strongly. And help it did, 'Cast Aside' charted in the ARIA Alternative Charts and has achieved regular airplay on national broadcaster Triple J.

Comeback Kid

Comeback Kid (CBK for short) is a hardcore band from Winnipeg, Canada, formed in 2002 by Andrew Neufeld and Jeremy Hiebert, who were both members of the band Figure Four, currently on hiatus. In 2003, Comeback Kid signed to California hardcore label Face Down Records, who released their debut album, Turn It Around. For their 2005 album Wake the Dead, they signed to Victory Records internationally, and to Smallman Records in Canada. Wake the Dead has now sold over 100,000 copies and was voted Alternative Press's 100 bands to know in 2005.

Break Even

There is more than one artist with that name: 1. Since forming in the suburbs of Perth in 2005, Break Even have endured almost every experience a young band can; the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. The former includes putting out 2 successful releases and touring the country countless times with some of the biggest names in local and international hardcore. The latter on the other hand, includes undergoing numerous lineup changes and on a greater scale, a tragedy in the death of a band member.

Benoit & Sergio

Hailing from Washington DC, Benoit & Sergio are an electronic-pop duo whose sound owes as much to Galaxie 500 or The Jesus & Mary Chain as to any house or techno pioneers. Their debut EP, "What I've Lost," was released in November of 2009 on Bruno Pronsato's record label, thesongsays. Boldly unfashionable, What I've Lost is a rich and charismatic record that effortlessly brings a pop sensibility to a techno framework.

Propagandhi

Propagandhi is a punk band formed in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada in 1986 by Chris Hannah and Jord Samolesky. While their earlier work draws from the punk and skate punk tradition, recent Propagandhi records have moved towards a heavier, hardcore thrash-influenced sound. The band members are known for championing various political causes. They have taken an active stance against human rights violations, racism, homophobia, imperialism, fascism, capitalism and organized religion.

Ambitions

Ambitions began in 2005 as a way for Jay and Jeff Aust and John Ross to challenge the boundaries that separate hardcore and punk. Taking a range of diverse influences, not the least of which include Quicksand, Turning Point, Face To Face, and Avail, Ambitions released a demo and began to play shows all along the east coast. In September of 2006, Ambitions released their EP "Question" on Think Fast! which garnered rave reviews and caught the attention of Bridge Nine. They went on to release their debut LP Stranger on November 6, 2007.

Plan Of Attack

Plan of Attack was a hardcore punk formed in 2002 in the Chicagoland area. They recorded two albums, which were hailed across the country for their no-nonsense approach to a genre that many fans were beginning to become disillusioned with.
