Parades' debut album Foreign Tapes was a bona fide slow burner in 2010, receiving huge acclaim since its release in April as an "awe inspiring and genuinely heartfelt" approach to Australian music. The summer months have brought award nominations for ‘Best Music Video’ by Triple j and ‘Record of the Year’ by SMAC, with Foreign Tapes also reaching No. 2 on the Mess+Noise Critics Poll for Best Australian Releases of 2010.

And now, ...Tim Jenkins, Jonathan Boulet, Michael Scarpin and Dan Cunningham follow their critically-hailed debut with new single ‘Water Stories’, a burst of frenetic beats and ethereal vocals stretched over a glacial undercurrent of pulsing samples. That signature eclecticism is woven tightly between rhythm and ambience, offering an ambiguous wide angle on their sophomore material to come later in 2011.

‘Water Stories’ is available to download from the band’s website: www.paradesmusic.com
