Joe Louis Walker

Joe Louis Walker (born December 25, 1949 in San Francisco, California) is an American blues guitarist, singer and producer. Walker's parents were blues fans, and introduced him to the music when he was young.
He learned to play the guitar at age fourteen, and left home at sixteen to work as a performer. He soon met Mike Bloomfield, who introduced him to the Bay Area Blues scene. During the 1960s, Walker opened for such artists as Earl Hooker, Freddie King and Lowell Fulson.

B.B. King

Riley B. King aka B. B. King (born September 16th, 1925 in Itta Bena, Mississippi) is a well known American blues guitarist and songwriter. He is among the most respected electric guitarists. One of King's trademarks is naming his guitar (Gibson ES335) "Lucille". In the 1950s in a bar in Twist, Arkansas two men got into a fight, accidentally knocking over a bucket of burning kerosene (used for heating) and setting the establishment on fire. Risking his life, B.B. King ran back into the collapsing building to retrieve his guitar.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds

The Fabulous Thunderbirds are a blues-rock band, formed in 1974. Their original line up included guitarist Jimmie Vaughan, the older brother of the influential electrical blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. After performing for several years in the Austin, Texas blues scene, they earned a recording contract with Chrysalis Records and later signed to Arista. The first two albums released in 1979 and 1980 (with Keith Ferguson on bass and Mike Buck on drums), did not initially sell well, but are now regarded as successful white blues recordings.

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (since 2004 known simply as Blues Explosion) is an American garage rock band, which was formed in New York in 1990. Singer Jon Spencer was previously the leader of the noise punk band Pussy Galore before hooking up with Judah Bauer (guitar) and Russell Simins (drums) to form the Blues Explosion, a band that was part of the 1990s alternative rock boom. This bass-less combo had their breakthrough in 1993 with the album "Extra Width" on Crypt Records. In 1994 "Orange", a more accessible album followed along with a growing base of fans.

The Mess Hall

The Mess Hall are a two-piece rock and roll combo based in Sydney, New South Wales that formed in 2001. Widely respected for their live shows, The Mess Hall have toured Australia extensively both in their own right and supporting bands such as You Am I, Jet and The Strokes. They have also toured the US and Japan, notably with fellow Sydney band, Wolfmother. Outside the driving drums and guitar of The Mess Hall, singer/guitarist Jed Kurzel is an acoustic artist of some note. Drummer Cec Condon is a veteran of the Brisbane music scene.

Bondi Cigars

Describing themselves as a leading force in Australian rhythm and blues, the Cigars have been playing tight, hard-driving and down to earth R&B since their founding in 1989. The band line-up includes co-founders Shane Pacey (vocals and guitar) and Alan Britton (bass and vocals), together with long-standing members Eben Hale (guitar and vocals) and Frank Corby (drums). The Bondi Cigars have been honoured with many blues and roots awards.

Fiona Boyes

One of the best fingerstyle blues guitarists on the planet. From Melbourne in Australia, but now resident in Portland Oregon, Fiona stands securely at a relatively young age among the new breed of blues players. She was the first woman and first Australian to win the solo/duo section of the Memphis International Blues Challenge. Her electric blues big band album Lucky 13 was a finalist in the International Blues Challenge in 2007. Her big voice, her strong support of blues traditions and her distinctive style of playing make her one of the emerging greats of the blues.

Hell City Glamours

These sexy show ponies, originally from Sydney's Northern beaches hit the scene in 2003 and rightly re-introduced loud arrogant party rock into a lack lustre and piss poor excuse for a music scene in Australia. Susan Tedeschi

She formed the Susan Tedeschi Band in 1994, featuring Tom Hambridge and Adrienne Hayes. In 1995 she began playing guitar and honed her skills and in December the band released Better Days to regional audiences. Record contracts were difficult to keep together; however, recording sessions from 1997 were acquired by Richard Rosenblatt, and the band was signed to Tone-Cool Records and Just Won't Burn was released in February 1998 to rave reviews from blues publications.

The Deans are a musical trio from the west of Ireland whose roots are firmly planted in Blues, Country and Folk music.
