TZU

TZU are an Australian hip hop group, originating from Melbourne, Victoria. The group formed in 1999 as a side project combining members of Curse Ov Dialect and Pan. Members include Joelistics, Countbounce, Pasobionic and Yeroc. They are known for live shows with significant crowd involvement where they will often involve local MCs, and have been known to invite the entire audience on stage. TZU differs from typical hip hop groups because they use instruments in their performances.

Choose Mics

Formed in 2006, Choose mics have been hard at work putting out a highly revered album “The Pre Album,” touring constantly and collaborating with artists the world over.
HAUNTS is a hard nosed, in your face mc, that is as comfortable telling a story as he is on the raw lyric tip. Owning on stage and in the booth, HAUNTS is an mc's mc.
MULES on the other hand has an ear for timing and the perfect sample, he is making a name for himself and has already featured on numerous nationwide releases that include BOLTZ ‘The Wishlist’.

The first two Def Wish Cast hard core hip hop releases have become legendary. “RuCL” a.k.a Rueben Campbell is one of the most exciting artists to emerge from Australia's thriving Hip Hop scene. His talent is evident on every track of his debut album "Straight Down The Line". Hailing from Melbourne with Jamaican/Australian heritage RuCL is a MC with truly universal appeal. RuCL has been performing in various capacities for some time. Throughout the years he has built a reputation within the hip hop community, supporting international acts such as Jurassic 5, Pharcyde, Mad Professor, Lee Scratch Perry, Supernatural and DJ Craze and more.

DJ Peril

DJ Peril is a name synonymous with the Australian Hip Hop Scene. Peril has contributed to the Development of Australian Hip Hop through Break dancing, Graffiti & Hip Hop Music since its earliest days. From his first group The Island Boys right through to 1200 Techniques he has been at for front of pushing and developing Australian Hip Hop. DJ Peril has been the driving force behind Australia most recognised Hip Hop group 1200 Techniques but beyond the group Perils passion lies in his Production, DJ-ing & Graffiti.

Funkoars

The Funkoars are an Australian hip hop act from Adelaide, Australia and formed in 1999. Funkoars were founded on the unique personalities of four individuals. These larger than life musicians were drawn to each other not just from a love of music, but their light hearted and jovial outlook on life. It’s these personalities coupled with their prodigious talent that has brought Funkoars their success. The energetic and humorous nature of their lyrics is not something that can be emulated.

Fluent Form

After the success of his independently released debut album Chapters Of Substance, Fluent Form wasted no time in returning to the studio to begin work on his sophomore LP, The Furnace. Hyjak n Torcha

Hyjak and Torcha are two of Australias most respected and innovative MCs. They have toured extensively throughout Australia and many overseas spots from N.Z to Bali. They have collaborated musically with an array of diverse artists from Murs & Living Legends, Drapht, Tim Freedman (The Whitlams), Bobby Kim & Buga Kingz to Ozi Battler (The Herd), Mark 'Chopper' Read, Hilltop Hoods and even had a track 'The road is lost', together wit band A Broken Silence played live by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to sold out shows.

2 Dogs

2 Dogs is a spin-off group created by two of the members of the Brisbane band Resin Dogs, Dave and DJ Katch. Their albums contain a larger variation of both ambient hip-hop beats and also some lyrics thrown in for measure. Prozac Beats, their first album is focused heavily on down-tempo beats and rythms whilst their most recent, D&K Sessions contains both uplifting (Fire in the Belly, Funky 2+1) as well as downtempo interlude tracks.
