DJ Yoda

DJ Yoda (born Duncan Beiny) is a British hip-hop turntablist. Between 1995 and 1998 he studied English and American Literature at the University of Warwick. During this period he began performing at Mojo, a popular Warwick Hip hop and Soul night until he graduated. After he left university he began releasing underground demo mix-tapes to small music shops. Through the popularity of these tapes, Antidote Records asked him to create an official mixtape, from which 'How to Cut & Paste Mix Tape Vol.1' was released.

There are more than one artists by this name. 1.Katalyst (Ashley Anderson) is a one of Australia's leading Producers. Working out of Sydney, Katalyst received the prestigious 'Best Producer' award at the Australian Dance Music Awards in 2002. Before embarking on a solo career, Ashley Anderson's previous work has included an album with producer Illpickl. Under the name of Moonrock, the two producers released a self titled album in 1998. Tracks from this self titled album featured on many compilation albums during the late '90s. This then served as a launching pad for Ashley's solo career.

J Rocc

One of the original turntablists, J Rocc founded the Beat Junkies in 1992 with Melo-D and Rhettmatic, but has done just as much on his own as in a group setting. He began DJing in the mid-'80s with a California group named PSK. Soon after forming, the Beat Junkies became a seminal force in the rise of instrumental hip-hop, including core member Babu plus future stars Shortkut and D-Styles.
