Based in Brooklyn for the past year, The Grates will return to Australia to launch their third album ‘Secret Ritual’ at this show. First gaining attention after sending a rough demo to Triple J’s Robbie Buck, which he added to the station’s playlist, they have since signed to the Dew Process label, toured with Regurgitator, The Go! Team and TISM among others, played at South By South West in Texas, and at Splendour in the Grass back in Australia. Despite the recent departure of drummer Alana Skyring, the announcement of a third album shows the band will not be slowing down any time soon.

Tom was a strummer. Jo was a drummer. Tom and Jo jammed in Jo's living room. Tom and Jo had fun and they thought their music was alright.
Guineafowl is an unsigned six-piece band from Sydney, Australia. The music video for their single, Botanist, was featured in Rage's Top Fifty Clips of '09.
