Worldwide Acclaim

John Blunt is renowned worldwide for his uncanny resemblance to Freddie Mercury, and played Mercury in the 2016 UK biopic “The Freddie Mercury Story - Who Wants To Live Forever”. John has once again been cast as Freddie Mercury in the upcoming Australian movie Seriously Red (2021), starring Rose Byrne. He has appeared regularly on shows like Studio 10 and The Today Show (watch the interviews), and is even mentioned on Freddie Mercury’s Wikipedia page.

Made in Australia

Despite the demand for Killer Queen overseas, it all started for us here in Brisbane. Our career was built on Leagues Club and RSL Club shows around Australia. We continue to play affordable shows for smaller venues around Australia, and our strongest endorsement is the clubs who book us over and over.

The Experience
If you’re thinking of booking or seeing us for the first time, nothing can prepare you for it. John’s eerie resemblance of Freddie Mercury will transport you back in time, and there’s something about the meticulous attention to detail – the instruments, the costumes, the mannerisms, and true musicians – that stirs an emotional response in the people who see our shows (see what they say).

We hope you get to experience it in 2022!

Duncan Phillips

Duncan PhillipsHailing from the Shetland Islands, north east of Scotland, Duncan Phillips may be an unlikely candidate for an Americana singer songwriter. But having the good fortune to grow up on a musical diet of country, folk and rock and roll he knew he wanted to write his own songs from an early age. He picked up his first guitar at eight, and by 14 was playing local gigs and festivals.

Influenced by the likes of Tom Petty, Steve Earle and Bruce Springsteen, Duncan’s take on the Americana/rock genre has given him success within the Melbourne live music scene. He’s a regular on the grass roots touring circuit, as well as a recognised voice on national radio stations PBS and 3RRR, with his single ‘Drink Sleep Repeat’ making it to No.4 on the download charts. Having had the honour of supporting both Steve Earle and the late Justin Townes Earle, Duncan undoubtably has what it takes to stand alongside the best in Americana.

Jess Day

The buzz around the South Australian pop artist and songwriter Jess Day after she achieved national recognition with the release of singles ‘Why Is She So Beautiful?’ and ‘Rabbit Hole’, securing Feature Artist and rotation placements with triple j and Triple J Unearthed. Along with later single ‘Signals’, Jess’ profile continued to rise, her catalogue surpassing 1 million Spotify streams, and enjoying a particular peak with the release of ‘Affection’ in 2020, landing a Top 15 spot of the most airplay of Australian artists on national radio across the board.

As a touring artist, Jess has enjoyed a sold out headline tour, as well as successes as national support act for Spacey Jane’s sold out 2021 national run of shows.
