CMAT

CMAT, who had aspirations to become a professional musician from a young age, relocated to Manchester, England, to pursue a career in music with her then boyfriend, performing together as Bad Sea. She has since described their relationship as toxic and isolating, and she stopped pursuing a music career, living a partying lifestyle. She attended an in-person listening session at a London studio with the English electropop singer Charli XCX, who advised CMAT to reimagine her approach.

Breaking up with her boyfriend and returning to Ireland, she began self-releasing her music online to considerable attention and received radio play from RTÉ Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music. Her debut studio album If My Wife New I'd Be Dead was released in February 2022. Metacritic, which aggregates review scores, gives the album a score of 85 based on 9 reviews, indicating "universal acclaim". Hot Press magazine wrote that the album was "undoubtedly one of the most thrilling Irish pop debuts of the century".[16] In a four-star review, DIY wrote, "If My Wife New... feels like a more well-rounded, modern proposition than one solely indebted to the oldest style going could suggest." The album entered the Irish Albums Chart at number one. In June 2022, she released a single called "Peter Bogdanovich", which came with a music video which featured CMAT dressing as the late director. On 19 August 2022, "Peter Bogdanovich" charted at number 20 on the Irish Homegrown Top 20. In March 2023, If My Wife New I'd Be Dead won the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year.

In June 2023, CMAT announced her next studio album, Crazymad, for Me, which was released in October 2023. Like her previous album, this album debuted at number one on the Irish Albums Chart. Her album was later nominated for the Best Album Ivor Novello Award on Thursday 23 May 2024.

CMAT has been noted for her large fanbase among Irish LGBTQ+ people, once telling an NME interviewer "I'm making music for the girls and the gays, and that's it."

In May 2024, the BBC were forced to disable comments on a video on its Instagram page of CMAT's performance at the Radio 1 Big Weekend festival, following a spate of comments labelled "fat-shaming." Later that month, CMAT pulled out of a performance at that summer's Latitude Festival due to the festival's sponsorship by Barclays, and the company's financial involvement in the Israel-Hamas war.

Blondshell

She has toured with acts including Suki Waterhouse, Horsegirl, and Porridge Radio and has performed at South by Southwest, Austin City Limits Music Festival, and on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Rob Caudill

People stop Rob Caudill in airports for autographs. They stare at him in restaurants. And when he struts on stage, women scream themselves hoarse. Why? Because Caudill is a dead-on Rod Stewart Impersonator. He's got the high-definition jawline, the shock of spiky blonde hair, but most importantly, he has the nose. Vocally, his distinctive, naturally-raspy voice sounds like the legendary Stewart, and his range easily nails every high note from Stewart's younger days. So, it's no surprise this singer has carved out a career 'recreating' Rod Stewart. From kicking out soccer balls to spinning mic stands, to belting out all of Rod's greatest hits - Caudill's high energy show is a must-see event for people of all ages. When Rob was just seventeen, people started telling him that he looked like Rod Stewart - a phrase Rob would hear repeatedly from almost everyone he met for the rest of his life. He began his musical career after graduating high school and moving to Memphis, TN to study music at MSU. "I've got the greatest job in the world, making a living doing something I love." While in Memphis, Rob began playing bass for local bands around town and doing session work. As bass player for a band called "The Breaks" Caudill got his first major opportunity when they signed to RCA Records. The Breaks' first single, "She Wants You", was played in heavy rotation on MTV music television which caught the attention of Bugle Boy Clothing, who used The Breaks for their first commercial on MTV. After a few years, The Breaks disbanded, so Rob put together a group called "The Willys" that included legendary guitarist Shawn Lane. They quickly became one of Memphis' hottest bands. Rob also began doing session work with Joe Walsh of the Eagles and jammed with many others such as John Entwhistle of the Who, along with members of Cheap Trick, Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Survivor and Red Hot Chili Peppers just to name a few. In 1996, he realized he couldn't escape the remarkable natural resemblance to Rod Stewart so he heeded the advice of Joe Walsh and began his tribute career. Rob put down his bass, bought some wild clothing and diligently studied lots of Rod's videos, vocals and mannerisms. Now, more than a 15 years later, he is still spinning his mic stand and kicking soccer balls out to audiences everywhere. When he leaves town he is armed with his "Tonight's the Night Band," a repertoire of more than 100 Stewart songs (covering everything from the beginning years of The Faces to the Great American Songbooks), and a wardrobe of loud, mostly custom made suits that match Rod Stewart's attire to a tee. He has been working with the world famous Legends in Concert show out of Las Vegas for the past 15 years. He also works independently doing a high energy two hour show and claims "I've got the greatest job in the world, making a living doing something I love." A true international sensation, Rob has performed:•For The Sultan of Malaysia•At a wedding for a Malaysian Princess•At the Miss World Philippines Beauty Pageant•At Autoracing's MotoGP event in Sepang Malaysia•At the AFF Suzuki Cup Football (Soccer) Matches between Malaysia and Indonesia in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta Rob’s performed his Tribute to Rod Stewart all over the world including: Australia, Cambodia, Canada, China, Finland, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Thailand, and theUnited States

Yergurl

From a tiny bedroom in Bendigo, Australia, to the expansive stages of Groovin’ The Moo Festival, Fae Scott, known as yergurl, is one of Australia’s most exciting young artists. As someone who is “inspired by ‘moments’ in music, not so much particular artists, genres or even songs,” creative enthusiasm has been in Fae’s blood since she was born; some of her earliest artistic memories were scribbling down short stories into a notebook with her twin sister, Marci, and creating little improvised songs on her Photo Booth app, until she entered the world of music production in her early teens.

It was only when Fae reached adolescence and discovered the magnetism of poetry that these little melodies started to develop into fully fleshed-out tracks. With a notebook clutched under one arm and a tiny Casio keyboard under the other, she learned that writing music was one of the best forms of expressing her feelings - especially when many of her songs detailed the complications of “obsession-inducing” heartbreaks with high school boyfriends. According to Fae, her music was made “purely to evoke a certain feeling”. During this time, the pseudonym “yergurl” also began to float in circulation, named after a lyric Fae jotted down which read, “I’ll be yer gurl,” as an ode to a boyfriend. Soon, alongside a faithful pursuit in gaining more music production knowledge and laying down some fresh new demos, Fae was ready to release some of her work onto the world, beginning with her (now-deleted) Soundcloud track, “BLEED.”

It wasn’t long after the release of her earliest demos that Fae’s career began to take off in a big way. On her eighteenth birthday, she received the announcement that yergurl had been named a finalist in triple j’s Unearthed High. By the time January 2019 had rolled around, Fae had been signed to the record label, Future Classic, and was in the process of developing her debut EP, Love Bite. Written, recorded, produced and performed by Fae herself, Love Bite was a five-track versatile assortment of new original songs including “Skateboard” and an ethereal cover of Outkast’s “Hey Ya.” The EP sustained Fae’s launch into the dreamy and eclectic world of bedroom pop. One of Fae’s most popular singles, “Girls Like Me,” stayed true to her original nature of “boyfriend” themed tracks and slammed an “ex of Fae’s who happens to date the same kind of blonde, skinny mentally unstable girls [as her].”

It was also at this time that Fae was invited to perform at BIGSOUND, an annual Australian music festival and industry conference, and was celebrated in triple j’s Unearthed Feature Artist category, and as FBi Radio’s Independent Artist of the Week. In 2020 after the wake of her high school graduation, Fae wrote and developed one of her most musically advanced tracks yet, entitled “until we meet again.” In fact, Slayyyter, an internationally famous American pop star described the song as “her favourite,” in a review of new hyperpop tracks, due to “the vocals [being] so beautiful and bright and [having] so much emotion.”

Nowadays, Fae steadily continues to build her name as a vocalist, producer, and performer, and she’s here to tell you, she’s planning to come for 2022’s throat. With the gut-stomping single, “PUPPY DOG,” released on February 24th, this is a new dawn for the yergurl movement. No more noise, no more inhibition, no more unwarranted advice… This is Fae’s time, and she’s taking no prisoners.

As described by Fae herself, “PUPPY DOG is about a lot of things. Primarily, it’s a “fuck you” to fake people who try to fly around your circle and ride on your back for their own benefit; people who make fun of you to others but try to be your bestie to benefit themselves. “But it’s also a song I wrote hoping I'd empower others, especially my girlies. When I wrote this song I was sick to death of feeling like I had to make myself smaller, keep my mouth shut, be more mysterious, be humble and stay a young girl rather than a woman. I’m saying I’m a woman now - I’m loud, I’m proud and I won’t sit the fuck down.”

In relation to the assertive lyrics of the track, Fae stated: “I just decided to let go of my inhibitions and go nuts with the lyrics, be as ballsy and free as I could. Sometimes I still feel uncomfortable listening to these lyrics and hearing how uninhibited I was when I wrote it but, fuck, I think everyone needs to embody this energy all the time. It’s so freeing and this song really helps me accept myself for who I am.”

But, what’s next for yergurl? Alongside the release of “PUPPY DOG,” you can look forward to a lot more from Fae throughout the course of the new year. “We’re planning to have a number of releases out in 2022, much more than I’ve released per year in previous years,” she says. “I’m really excited to actually start building up my discography and not just with SoundCloud songs people already half-knew. I feel like I can actually start to fully introduce myself as an artist this year, while finally feeling like I can openly explore all styles of music and not feel guilty for doing so.”

“As an artist, I love making weird experimental shit, even if to others it doesn’t sound that weird, or it sounds super weird,” she adds. “I’m still a pop artist at the end of the day, but pop is just an umbrella term and I can pull elements from anywhere. That’s what’s fun about writing my own music.”

Felivand

Cult Artists, Sweat It Out and Unified Music Group are proud to present FELIVAND on her very first Australian tour in celebration of her debut album ‘Ties’ - out August 5th, 2022.

In a live setting, her journalistic songwriting is brought to life by her four piece live band, making for an unforgettable and moving experience. Catch FELIVAND in 2022 in Meanjin/Brisbane (19 AUG), Warrang/Sydney (27 AUG) and Naarm/Melbourne (02 SEP). Special guests in each city to be announced*.

FELIVAND’s debut album ‘Ties’ ruminates on knotty questions of mental health, spirituality, interpersonal connection and her own place in the world. Burying shadowy, sombre depths beneath woozy and wistful bedroom-pop exteriors, FELIVAND’s music makes for a deeply gratifying listen. Within rich bass lines, warm, jazz-flickered chords, harmonic vocal stacks and crisp percussion, lies undercurrents of dissonance, hints of ennui and melancholy. For an artist whose interwoven personal and creative development has always been on show, the story of FELIVAND is that of an artist continually growing into herself.

The band signed a record deal in 2012 with SONGS Music Publishing. They launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund and shoot two music videos for the EP's singles, "Weight/Lightness" and "Unconsolable", with the latter being re-recorded later. We Three

A tuneful, uplifting pop trio of Oregon-based siblings, We Three rose to national attention in 2018 after making the semi-finals on the NBC show America's Got Talent. Already a seasoned band with several independent releases to their credit, they parlayed their newfound success into a full-length album that same year, marking their highest-profile release yet. Poignant themes related to stigmas about mental health informed their 2020 follow-up, Dear Paranoia, Sincerely, Me.

The three Humlie siblings -- guitarist Manny, bassist Bethany, and drummer/keyboardist Joshua -- grew up in McMinnville, Oregon, learning to sing and play from their musical parents. Under the name We Three, the trio began gigging regionally, developing their melodic, heartfelt pop songs over a series of independent EPs including Neverland (2016) and Celebrate the Struggle, Pt. 1 (2017). The band vaulted to national attention in the summer of 2018 when they made a successful run on NBC's talent contest America's Got Talent, reaching the semi-finals in September of that year. While they were eventually voted off before reaching the finals, they made a significant impression on both fans and judges by playing only original material, including the emotional ballad "Heaven's Not Too Far," a song they wrote for their mother, who'd died of cancer in 2015. Riding the wave of exposure they received from appearing on the show, We Three released their self-titled debut album in December 2018. Included on the album "Heaven's Not Too Far" became a streaming hit and the trio followed up in 2019 with the motivational We're All Messed Up - But It's Okay, a five-song EP that contained another widely streamed track in "Sara." We Three continued to use their hopeful style to explore difficult subjects on second their full-length, 2020's Dear Paranoia, Sincerely, Me.
