There are at least 6 bands of this name: 1) Avenger is a Czech black/death band from Volyně (Czech Republic) formed in 1992 by Petr Rámus Mecák. They were formerly known as <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Astaroth" class="bbcode_artist">Astaroth</a> and currently have a side-project called <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Black+Rain" class="bbcode_artist">Black Rain</a>. They released 2 demos (Minster Of Madness; The Black Zone), 4 full length albums (Shadows Of The Damned (1998); Fall Of Devotion, Wrath and Blasphemy(1999); Godless(2003);Feast of Anger - Joy of Despair(2009)), one compilation (Minster Of Madness/The Black Zone(2009), and one live album (Live at Open Hell Fest 2003).

Kill For Satan

Kill For Satan comprises members from well known and respected Australian metal acts (Armoured Angel, Psychrist, Exceed). KFS formed in 2002 initially as a cover band playing tribute to classic eighties thrash bands such as Slayer, Exodus, Bathory, Venom, Dark Angel, Sodom, Kreator, Celtic Frost, Hellhammer, Destruction and many more. As a natural progression, KFS began writing original material in early 2004 for their first release. Thy Kingdom Undone features seven tracks of the Metal of Death in the vein of the bands they had previously paid homage to.

Absu

There are 2 bands named Absu. 1. American esoteric black metal band with a sound informed both by thrash and death metal. Formed in Plano, Texas in 1989, the band's name was originally Dolmen but this was soon changed to Absu, drawing thematic influence from middle-eastern and celtic mythology they recorded four albums and an EP from 1993 to 2001. After the release of Tara in 2001 the band was put on hiatus as guitarist and bassist Equitant Ifernain and Shaftiel departed, citing musical differences and disinterest in the band, respectively.
