Wolfgang Gartner, (real name: Joey Youngman), is a Californian electro / tech house producer and DJ currently based in Austin, Texas, United States. He was previously known as Joey Youngman and produced deep house until late 2007. He began producing electronic music at age 11 by syncing a drum machine to a keyboard via MIDI, and taught himself to DJ at age 12 with a 4-track tape recorder and 2 tape decks.
Cansei de Ser Sexy (commonly known as CSS) is a band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2003. The band name is Portuguese for “Tired of Being Sexy” (taken from something Beyoncé once commented to the press: “I am tired of being sexy”). The members are: Lovefoxxx (vocals), Adriano Cintra (drums, guitar, vocals and production), Luiza Sá (guitar, drums and keys), Ana Rezende (guitar and harmonica), Iracema Trevisan (bass) and Carolina Parra (guitar and drums).

By the time he got his first decks at the start of the millennium he’d already honed the techniques ready to take on the world of his heroes.

Swedish House Mafia is a house music supergroup comprised of DJ/producers Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso. Each of the group members is an accomplished DJ/producer and label owner in his own right. The Swedish group initially teamed up in the mid-2000s, when they toured together as DJs and collaborated from time to time on one another's productions. Eric Prydz was also a member of the group for a while.
Following a string of celebrated releases leaning on everything from kitschy euro sounds to deep funk and latin jazz, the relatively new to the scene Todd Terje has already made his mark within dance music circuits. Gems such as the cheese monster "Eurodans" and the latin disco-fuelled edit of Jacko's "Can't Help it" under his Tangoterje edit-moniker instantly made industry types and clubbers alike go bananas, and whatever the 25 year old Norwegian puts his fingers on, it always comes out with that crucial blend of musicality and playfulness.

The group's self-titled LP combined industrial and house, and became a minor club hit. Mitchel revived the name in the 1990s, most successfully on the 1995 "Ex-Junkie" single.

It’s been a year since Cassian’s last EP. And where has the kid with that haircut been? He’s been in the busy, that’s where he’s been.
The lead single ‘I Like What You’re Doing’ has already been premiered on BBC Radio 1 by Jaymo & Andy George as part of their “Picks of 2011†show. It takes on the form of a powerhouse party psalm. Charged by an ever-familiar bassline and anthemic vocal performed by a shadowy, old-school Australian music identity. It’s turned into an 80’s fire-funk workout by Lorenz Rhode on his ‘Dangerous Mix’ and a filtered robo-haus jammer in his ‘Rhythm composer mix’. ‘Getting High’ is an ode to newfangled clubbers, to those who come out every week and just want to party. Samples are cut up ala Iron Chef and the second half of the song explodes with a twisting acid line (used to great effect on The Courtesans remix). ‘Nobody’ is appropriately named as it’s a song for everybody. The song chugs along at a slow pace and features a climactic crescendo of geetars, peeeano, seeeeenths and vibreeeeephone in the breakdown. New Bris-Vegas deeeeesco legends Mitzi turn it inside out and push the pace up to turn it into a groover and moover.
Already this year Cassian has begun his busy World Tour to support the EP with 13 sold out dates across the USA. He’s since lit up dancefloors across Europe and Asia before returning to Australia for an action-packed 6 week run in April/May taking in Creamfields festival (Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane), Chinese Laundry (Sydney), Bowler Bar (Brisbane), Electric Circus (Adelaide), Ambar (Perth) and Super Disco – his exclusive Melbourne residency.
