Soul Blues Swampadelica feat. Hammond Organ, Guitar, Lap Steel, Piano & Brass - a rich gumbo of harmonies and rhythms layered over swamp boogie beats! Melbourne meets New Orleans meets Memphis!

The Tonalists expansive repertoire takes the audience on a journey through the blues form, as it appears in many genres including blues, soul, funk, rock and jazz. Their collection of original and curated instrumental and vocal classics from the late 60's, 70's and beyond, explores the uplifting feels and rich sounds of the masters who first fused blues with soul in the electric era.

Featuring Mick Coll on Hammond and pianos, Jason Kane on guitar and lap steel, Nigel Wright on drums, Tom Williams on trombone and percussion, Christian Foyle on saxophone, their sound is retro but with a modern twist, often looping over the patterns, overlaying 'tone on tone'.
Their influences include Leon Russell, Buddy Guy, Billy Preston, Booker T & The MG's, Lonnie Smith, Gill Scott-Heron, The Barkays, Lou Donaldson to name a few...

Hammond, Pianos - Mick Coll (T'Hammer, Bigfoot, Long Black Limousine, Penthouse Paupers)
