Krista Polvere is an Australian-born singer/songwriter from Adelaide, but resides in Melbourne, Australia. Polvere dropped out of school at 16 and moved to Sydney to study acting and music. Polvere's father, a former band manager, immigrated from Naples, Italy and her mother is of Welsh decent. Playing shows around the small bars and clubs in Adelaide, Polvere moved to Melbourne in 2000 for its live music culture.
