Multi-platinum "megastar" Rihanna will return to Australia in February and March next year, it was announced this morning.

The tour comes after the November 2009 release of her fourth record R Rated, which followed a turbulent year for the singer, who last toured these shores in 2008 with former partner Chris Brown.

The tour kicks off in Brisbane on the 25th of February and will go on to visit Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and finally Perth on the 12th of March.

Tickets go on sale 9am Friday August the 20th.
