Sonic Boom's first solo album, Spectrum, was recorded in 1989 while Spacemen 3 were still together, and featured the other members of the group. However, when Spacemen 3 disbanded in 1991, Kember recruited new musicians for the group Spectrum.

They created Iboga studio in Copenaghen, releasing their firsts works on Transient, Plastik Park, Plusquam and so on. Collaborating with some of the most interesting Scandinavian artists, such as Beat Bizarre, Refer Decree and much more, they finally created Iboga Records, which they also manage.
