Founded on old friendships and musical kinship, the New York City via Los Angeles collective host a live show that's not to be missed. They were brought together through their love of rhythm driven, avant-garde music, with Casablancas touted the ringmaster of one of the most versatile bands in modern music, punk being their musical poison. While The Strokes were on a hiatus, Casablancas put his head down creating his solo album Phrazes For The Young. Not one to sit idle, Julian Casablancas+The Voidz released their debut album Tyranny full of progressive experimental sounds and catchy hooks, in September of this year. Tyranny is out now through Cult Records via Inertia.
