Mason Dane

When Newcastle’s Mason Dane sent DASH to T-Pain to review on Twitch in 2021, not even he could have predicted what lay ahead. Since then, he’s gone from strength to strength, while also showing off a different side of himself on the pop-tinged Chasing Home EP. It was a bit of a pivot away from the sounds he’s explored on previous releases, learning more into the poppier side of his music than ever before. He’s also spent part of 2021 overseas with T-Pain, including celebrating his most recent birthday with the legendary hit-maker.

Mason’s already-impressive discography features both hard-hitting bangers and more vulnerable pop moments, proving that he’s a versatile artist willing to experiment alongside long-time collaborator and producer Liam Thomas. His 2022 just got even bigger with the release of the wild T-Mix of DASH, a hip-hop heater that features none other than the legendary T-Pain. It’s a huge moment for Mason, and as T-Pain puts it on the track, “America & Australia, we got floor seats, now we sit together”. To celebrate the release of the highly anticipated track, we’ve taken a look back at how Mason’s got to where he is today!
