Guitarist Nash Lee brings a fresh weekly slice of improvised Melbourne jazz to Bar 303, leading a dynamic quartet with some of his friends which might include Julien Wilson, Tom Fryer, Nick Delaney, Julian Banks, Aaron Light, Tony Barrett, Sam Bates, Charlie Rank,Paul Whitwood, Chris Pappas, Craig Fermanis or James Sherlock. Lee’s playing draws from jazz tradition while keeping a loose, exploratory edge, shaped by roots in the North Coast scene and mentoring from Greg Sheehan and Jim Kelly. Across the residency, the band leans into deep rhythmic interplay, melodic conversation, open improvisation and standard repertoire, with each week offering a different lineup and a new feel.
