Melbourne Cabaret Festival presented Prinnie Stevens in her show Lady Sings the Blues for an exclusive festival show at MEMO Music Hall.
Lady Sings The Blues is a story about women in song; their hurts, struggles and pain; and the transformation of that pain into music. Featuring the songs of the greats like Billie Holiday, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald; along with the modern day voices of Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Beyonce and more. You will be transported to a speakeasy in New York and into the very heart of the star of our show, Prinnie Stevens, and her experience living as a Woman of Colour.
We first met Prinnie on Season One of The Voice where she battled best friend Mahalia Barnes. Prinnie has gone on to have a hugely successful career touring Australia's major venues and in Musical Theatre, starring in shows The Bodyguard, HAIR and Thriller LIVE on the West End.
